Knicks rebound from Monday's game with a beat down of the Nets. So anymore debates on which is the best team in New York? Funny how things are different when Carmello Anthoney is in the game.

Meanwhile the Sixers have apparently forgot how to play basketball . I mean, I know Jrue's a big loss and everything but damn we've played like dogshit the past few games, sort it out Doug.

I'm actually really satisfied with how Houston is playing. Jeremy Lin has been really solid.

The Bulls actually look alright considering D-Rose is still out. I like that. It makes me optimistic for when he does come back.

The only thing that concerns me about the Knicks is will their style of offense work in the playoffs? All of those three pointers, nice passing, and back door cuts are all fine and good. But will all those shots be falling in the playoffs?
More often than not we've seen a lot of teams that shoot and make those same three pointers in the regular season. Then when the playoffs start and the offense is slowed down, the game is set to a half-court offense/defense, and the defense is locked down what happens? I still believe the Knicks are the favorite to take down Miami. But they're going to need to remain consistent, continue tightening down on defense, and not get careless.

It's hilariously lopsided how better the Knicks look with Mike Woodson than Mike D'Antoni Knicks with Mike D'Antoni as coach - Turmoil, struggling team, trying too hard to fit a square peg (Melo) into a round hole (D'Antoni's system). Accusations of Melo being a ball hog and too selfish instead of playing in a system poorly suited for his talents, playing players for way too many minutes and wearing them out, one of the worst turnover rates in the NBA. Knicks with Mike Woodson as coach - Best record in the East, Best start to a season since the 70's, Melo an MVP candidate, Unselfish team play from everyone, solid defensive play, best turnover rate in the NBA. People who took D'Antoni's side over Carmelo's are looking mighty foolish right now. Especially with the Lakers drama going on.

Does Mike Woodson deserve some Coach of the Year talks? Hell yeah he does. And Melo should win MVP at the rate he's going.

Honestly, he already has my vote. What??? No Scott Brooks? Scott Brooks has done a great job, but he's been improving each year with the team that won him Coach of the Year not too long ago. Woodson has really turned the Knicks around so far. Remember the Thunder went to the Finals last year, so this year's performance is more like it was expected to happen, as the team is more or less the same. I WILL give Brooks one big thumbs up, he somehow made Hasheem Thabeet......good. Ok decent. Certainly better than he's ever been in any season in the NBA prior. That in and of itself is a miracle work.

If Melo stays healthy and continues playing at the level he is now then he is a clear cut MVP. But we also cannot forgot about Durant either.

The Clippers have won 11 straight- their most since they've been in California- yet all the media wants to do is talk about how the sky is falling for the Lakers.

You can make a really good case for Durant and Melo. And Lebron's always going to be in the discussion.
Don't think Kobe should be in that discussion yet. Yes, he's had a lot of 30+ point games. But they've been meaningless 30+ point games because the Lakers are losing all those games.
As far as coach of the year goes, while I agree Woodson should be the clear-cut favorite so far, Scott Brooks SHOULD get some recognition. He's done a great job with the Thunder despite losing an excellent sixth man in James Harden.

Depending on how D Rose looks when he comes back they could be a sleeper to win it all. I've always known that we have a decent team without D-Rose considering we came pretty close to a game 7 against the 76ers last year proved that to me. It's just that, it seems that they have stepped up quite a bit during Derrick's absence.

I hope the Timberwolves win tonight, the Thunder winning streak has to end eventully, better tonight than Christmas. I am counting on the Thunder to beat the smack out of the Heat and help my Knicks out. So get it out of your system right now.
