Once Amar'e comes back, unless he has a bench role where he and Melo's playing time doesn't overlap much, the Knicks will start losing. They were horrible last year trying to make Amar'e and Melo work.

As a Bulls fan I must say how optimistic I am about them. I know they don't have the best record overall but they're putting away the teams they should put away and are giving teams much better than them at this point all they can handle.
All that looks good especially if D-Rose can recover as properly as he is right now and gets through the rest of his rehabbing milestones on schedule. If he doesn't, then it really doesn't mean all that much that the Bulls are being competitive with teams like OKC and Boston.

So lets recrap.
I am cautiously optimistic but he does give me hope...but we will see with his first test against the rockets.

Shane Battier is the king of the charge/offensive foul.

The two New York basketball teams are a combined 11-2.
That is awesome.

I can't wait to see the Knicks and Nets play each other this year. Shame Sandy ruined that opening game between the two, but I hope they're both doing as well by the time they get to their first game. It would make it the first worthwhile Knicks-Nets game since... the 90's, really. Maybe the early 00's before the Knicks really started to tank.
Anyway, I've been fooling around with the Trade Machine to see how I can get rid of Stoudemire in what would be a pretty good trade. I think I have an idea: reunite him with D'Antoni and Nash. I thought I'd have to do some wacky hijinx to get him to the Lakers while getting something fair in return. But something that works is actually pretty simple: trade Stat for Pau Gasol.
This probably won't ever happen, but I'd love to see it.

Andrew Bynum said on Friday that he's experienced a setback in his rehab, and now has bone bruises in both his left and right knees.

Is it in bad taste for the Grizzlies' PA people to play Rock You Like a Hurricane tonight?

The NBA is a better place now that Rasheed Wallace is back

The refs went from letting both teams play, to blowing the whistle on the Knicks on every Grizzlies possession.
This game is beyond ridiculous. I feeling like I'm watching Memphis lose to the Clippers yet again.

The streak had to end sometime. But at least it was against a scary-looking Memphis team and not like, the Bobcats or something. And outside of a truly putrid third quarter (where whistle-happy refs didn't help), they were in the game the entire time.

The NBA is a better place now that Rasheed Wallace is backLook, I know New Yorkers are in a love affair with Rasheed Wallace, but this is the honeymoon phase where everything is perfect. Trust me, I've been here before. By the time Febraury rolls around and he's put on an additional 15 pounds and stops making any effort to hustle and stations himself exclusively at the three-point line on every offensive possession, Knicks fans will turn on him just like Celtics fans, Pistons fans and Trail Blazers fans before them. Enjoy it while you can, Knicks fans. It's only a matter of time.

So, thoughts on this whole Royce White/Houston Rockets situation? I find it to be a huge bummer, he's fun to watch. But him taking the whole thing public constantly on twitter is unlikely to end well
