Yeah, can't see how it's not him. Here's a picture apparently of him with his pregnant wife: twitpic.com/bi5fme

Yeah, there's reports he killed himself right in front of the coach and the GM.
This is totally messed up and tragic.

Is it possible to postpone the game tomorrow? Asking players to go to work a day after this is kinda cruel. They can't have the game, ESPECIALLY if people saw this happen. That would be insanely cruel. Yeah. There really is no precedent for this. Would they consider postponing ALL the games? Man. I feel for you KC.

Some seem to be speculating he killed himself in front of some people but nothing confirmed. Reports are saying he did it right in front of the coaching staff. One rumor I read said that our GM was also there. Damn. I'm speechless.

Jason La Confora is reporting that Chiefs officials had confronted him in the parking lot and that's when he pulled a gun and shot himself.
Is it me or is it kinda odd they would confront him like that?

Yeah, they cant have their game tomorrow... that'd be poor taste. In all honesty they should forfeit, neither they or the Panthers are playoff bound so its not like it'd hurt anything other than potentially the draft order.

Wow. So sad to hear this. I've been a Broncos fan my whole life & that team has dealt with a lot of deaths in the last decade, Darrent Williams, Damien Nash, & Kenny McKinley. It's hard to say if they should cancel the game or not. Me personally i don't think they will.

On ESPN they said he killed his girlfriend before going to the practice facility, which may be why the staff confronted him first. They may have had heard about her being killed, not knowing it was him who did it.

Joe Person @josephperson
Panthers interim GM Brandon Beane says league has advised team to travel as planned. Team charter leaves at 1:15 pm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't see how they can still have a game tomorrow.

Players all may want to. People forget sometimes how differently these kind of events affect different people. Team may want to play to get it out of their minds. Same way people throw themselves in to work when they lose someone.

ESPN is reporting that the player in question was 25 (don't know why they'd put that detail in there), which is/was Belcher's age.

Wow what an unreal situation. I feel for the players and officials who had to witness that. Can't imagine what there going through.

I can see why the Panthers shouldn't cancel travel.

You can't tell people how to grieve .. if some of them even are in the first place. Maybe they'll end up cancelling the game and no one would complain if they did. But if they play I'm going to hate if it ends up being a big deal because "how could you ask your players to do that?!" if it turns out they wanted to.
