RAW is in Phoenix, AZ this week, and it's the go home show for the Royal Rumble this Sunday in St. Louis, so things are going to have to heat up tonight.
Last week on RAW, CM Punk and Mick Foley forced an admission out of the EVPOTRATIGMOMNR John Laurinaitis that he's out to screw Punk out of the WWE Title in his defence against Dolph Ziggler this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, when Laurinaitis will be the Special Guest Referee. This seems to have made his position as the Interim RAW GM untenable, so what repercussions will Laurinaitis face tonight, if any?
One other accusation Laurinaitis faces is the (legitimate) allegation that he screwed Zack Ryder out of the United States Title by sending him out to compete against Jack Swagger, when Ryder was in fact not cleared to wrestle after the chokeslam by Kane. Ryder has since apologised for trying to gut it out, but you know he'll be going after the new US Champ, trying to get his belt back. Will he get his rematch?
John Cena may well slowly be embracing the hate. Upon hearing of what happened to Ryder, Cena then went and unloaded fury upon Jack Swagger, who didn't entirely deserve the brutality he endured. This pleased Kane a great deal in his quest to get Cena to turn on the fans. Cena and Kane meet this Sunday night, will the Big Red Machine continue to push Cena's buttons?
Daniel Bryan can't run and hide now. The World Heavyweight Champion, after finding a cheap way out of three title defences in a row, will be locked in a Steel Cage at the Royal Rumble with two monsters in Mark Henry and The Big Show, with his title on the line. Tonight on RAW, he had best formulate a plot...
There's also build-up (hopefully) towards the Royal Rumble Match itself. The likes of R-Truth, The Miz, Sheamus and Wade Barrett all want to win it, and will make their cases this evening. Plus, Chris Jericho and His Amazing Multi-Lightbulbed Jacket, Primo and Epico as the tag champs, Cody Rhodes as the IC Champ, and no Beth Phoenix as the Divas Champ. And the Funkasaurus~!
