There was a time (for all I know it could still be going now, I don't watch TNA any more) where the dubbed crowds on TNA shows were amped up to Rock/Hogan levels, for every single match. Completely unnecessary.

WOARAAAAAAAAAA! Yeah, I don't really hear any seagulls in the audience.

I don't blame them for piping in some pops where appropriate, the only thing I question is...why not use lots of different pops?
I mean take some minutes and get 20 or so convincing sounding pops, then change up which one you use, problem solved.

I like the piped-in cheers at the start of Z! True Long Island Story.

This week's Jinder Mahal entrance had some of the worst fake heat noise ever. Nobody in the audience was even moving, yet he was getting constant noise. It was bad.

the Smackdown fake heel heat is ridiculous too, during entrances. It's like a Michael Cole-Vickie Guerrero-Muhammad Hassan stable is making its entrance every time say Natalya/Hunico hits the ring.

HEY what's up with all the Hunico bashing in this thread?
Hunico = awesome. Let's just make that clear.

There's another one that's been on Smackdown since the earliest days of the brand extension that they'd use in the same manner; ie when someone no one cared about was on screen. I remember it being used a lot when Stephanie McMahon was the GM, or when Heidenriech was onscreen up until I stopped watching in 2005 or 2006. Not the seagull pop that's been going around this thread, it was a little more high-pitched and femanine. And even more obvious.

I hope they never change it since it's a good indicator to what isn't getting over to their liking.
