was the most logical booking iv seen in some time from this company.
From Cody getting Booker to wrestle again due to his apparent disrespect on commentary. Cody being outsmarted by Booker leading up to the TLC match, Cody giving a disadvantage to Booker with multiple attacks before the match causing Rhodes to get the victory.
Booker coming back with the underdog victory the next night on Raw. And in the Rubber match, Booker coming this close to winning only for Cody to make a huge comback for the victory.
Everything made complete sense and everyone looked strong. Booker has proven that he is now more than a nostalgia act, and Rhodes has defeated a future Hall of Famer.
Booker, although much slower in the ring, has proven he can still go and put over young talent. I hope he cuts a promo where he says he shall enter the Rumble as Cody has shown him that he has still got it and he wants a run at the top for one last time, even though he respects the young talent of today. I was happy that he got a standing ovation after the match. This is what he should have been doing in TNA but I am happy he is doing it now, I am happy to say that I still remain a strong mark of Booker's!
Cody has been given a huge shot in the arm due to the build up/win, and another stepping stone to the main event. They made a huge deal throughout the feud that Booker is a legend and a future Hall of Famer (especially at the end of the rubber match). Now he moves on to Dustin, though I do hope there is an overlap in these feuds leading to some sort of tag match at elimination chamber just to see BookDust again.
If WWE is listening THIS is how you book feud's, characters and get someone from a non wrestling role back into the ring. Am I giving it too much credit? Would you want Booker in the Rumble for his hope of one last run at the top? Cody (and Dusty?) vs BookDust tag match at Elimination Chamber? etc etc
