Stephani comes out An gives a promo where she blasts the current Divas Division. She calls it blatantly sexist and even worse bad wrestling. She talks of being a kid/young adult and looking up to women like Moolah, Madussa Wendy Richter and Sherri and how disgusted that now instead of being role models for girls it's become nothing but fantasy fodder for adolescent boys.
She then announces that she is retiring the Barbie Dream Belt and reinstating the classic Women's World Championship belt. She is also rebuilding the division from the ground up. All 'Divas' can consider them selves future endeavored but are more than welcome to reapply for employment.
(bonus in all this is interplay between Johnny Ace and WWE's Alpha female)
Mark or meh?

If Stephanie Mcmahon is actually the one doing the rebuilding then meh. If they were to bring in someone that actually knows how to make a good women's division, then maybe I'd actually get excited.

Backstage/Booking etc I'd have it be someone else but on camera it'd be Steph. First Steph has the gravitas of being a McMahon. She's been off screen for a while. She has memories of being around when women's wrestling mattered. She's also the mother of a daughter, another motivating factor. I think Steph would be perfect for this. I thought of Trish or Lita, but only Steph could stand up to EVPoTRaIRGM John Laurenitis with out being jerked around. I want the Story to be about the women, not another power struggle.

Ugh. I just see this turning into another ridiculous story involving a McMahon. Arm-chair book this with someone other than Stephanie, then I'd be interested enough in following results to seeing how it plays out.

Arm Chair book it with anyone but Steph and show me how it doesn't become just another power struggle storyline in stead of being about rebuilding the Division. Keeping it from being just another McMahon storyline is easy, Make steph Face/neutral. and bring in Actual Women wrestlers. Give them storylines etc and make the belt the focus. After the initial set up I'd keep Steph Jack Tunnyish and maybe even have her do mmost of her segments by video or Skype (kind of like Raj's parents on Big Bang)

Meh due to the story involving a McMahon. Had too many storylines with them becoming all about them instead of whatever was originally s'posed to be the focus.
I'll agree with just about everyone else. This would be interesting with someone else doing the rebuilding.

Do you mean "would you like it" or "would you not care"? Because I refuse to use either of those idiotic terms.

I'm another that would like it but only with somebody like Ivory or Victoria (or even Trish or Lita) in charge, not because Steph is a McMahon but because she wasn't that great in the ring and was "fantasy fodder" when I was a teenage boy.

I'd Mark because out of all the Divas I'd know Beth and Natalya would be rehired. AJ would be rehired considering she has a unique high-flying style these Divas don't really use. Kharma would be fine once she returns. Tamina would probably end up being kept since she seems to be good in the ring.
All the other Divas though would probably get fired. I'll even go out on a limb and say one of the only Divas that would follow-up right now that we see currently would probably be Layla. Maybe Eve if they wanted another good looking Diva that can at least do SOMETHING. The others are for sure to be left in the dust though.

Meh, as a fan of women's wrestling I've honestly given up on the Divas Division. It guess isn't all bad, at least I still have Shimmer, TNA & WSU.

I voted meh but that was before I read your post. I assumed the question was about the division in general. Either way, even at it's best, women's wrestling has only been moderately interesting to me so I guess meh was the right choice.

But Beth/Natayla/Tamina all prove it isn't just barbies.

Stephanie was also Lita and Trish's biggest supporters--and supported Candice, and while Candice wasn't great damn did she work hard and I think would've been better than Trish if she hadn't been injured and was good by the time she actually left. I was impressed with her last match against Beth Phoenix. (Besides it's rare to get a model diva that will walk along the top rope and do an arm drag--I have to give that girl credit). They could do so much with the division if they used this story, even had a counter manager fighting against Steph trying to book the model divas who would be heels against the face divas working hard.

I still Maintain that it has to be Steph, a change that drastic has to come from the top. Now I wouldn't object to her having an assistant to handle the Day to Day stuff. That'd be perfect for Victoria, Lita, or Trish. That would also limit Stephs screen time.
The fact that She was "a barbie" as somebody mentioned, is easily explained. She got caught up in the attitude era and beyond. But now with age, wisdom and motherhood she sees things differently. She wants a Division she'd be proud to let her daughter watch
