It's a shame that Bryan is apparently turning/turned heel.
Despite the entertaining(to me) Miz/Truth feud I think the best use for Miz this year would be challenging for the World Title against Bryan.
It's ready made not just in a Bryan/Miz feud but in Miz's motivation.
"Last year I walked into Wrestlemania as WWE champion and despite the Rock and John Cena's best efforts to overshadow me I walked out with the WWE championship. This year while Cena wastes his time with the worst actor in Hollywood and the Rock tries to act like he's still a WWE superstar, I will be doing something that actually matters. That won't just be a footnote in WWE history in ten years, I will be winning the World Championship."

I'd actually like to see Miz turn face and go up against the heel Bryan. "You wanna know the truth Miz? I resent you. I am infinitely more talented than you, yet the guys in charge thought it would be some kind of funny joke for me to play second fiddle to you on NXT. I hate the fact that you are one of the golden boys of this company even though I can and have wiped the floor with you in this ring. You are a joke, Miz. You are just a reality television reject whose fifteen minutes of fame lasted a bit too long. You see this title? This is for real professional wrestlers, not fake wannabe celebrities. You are nowhere close to being in my league." The two world championships are now held by indy darlings. The minority has now become the majority. The muscle men, male models, and "guys who are only here because ______" are the new "vanilla midgets." Miz is now the underdog trying to prove that just because he isn't an "indy god" it doesn't make him any less of a wrestler.

That would make Bryan more loved and honestly Miz would be the fighting underdog similar to Ryder although not as funny and talented. I'm not sure how that would work his his attitude unless he started to become more serious in the ring and just overall trained to be as good as Bryan. With that being said no one could really believe Miz could beat Bryan in the ring so they'd have to have a gimmick match like a Hardcore or Last Man Standing in order for Miz to win.
It would be a nice angle but I wouldn't say it would be WM good. Could work in one of the big 4 more. When I went to SD this week and saw Bryan as a heel I thought "You know this could work, he's a good heel" and when he was acting that way his personality showed more. With that being said it would work well only if Miz did something so he would look like the underdog. I mean towards the marks I'm not sure how it would work but overall with everyone it could be good.
Depends how Bryan's run goes. I heard Miz might move to SD so...not sure. Last night given Bryan's win and how it happened I got the feeling that Bryan could really run with the title for a bit. He felt like a "Christian" type heel so given that he might hold it into Mania given his wily tactics.

One, that promo would make Bryan loved even more by the audience. Two, it's WAAAAAY too early to say that the "minority has become the majority". TLC wasn't even a MONTH ago. If a year from now Bryan, Punk, Ryder, Rollins & co. are the top guys and have been dominating the scene for a while, then we've actually seen a transition out of the Cena/Orton era. But not yet. It's way to early to jump the gun and start saying that the Daniel Bryans of the world are the new "golden boys", and it wouldn't work with the crowd. Let the new era happen naturally. The guard hasn't even really changed yet.

Miz HAS to be able to keep up with Bryan in order for that to work. I don't hate Miz by any stretch here.....but I REALLY don't think he's capable of keeping up. If he's not able to keep up like he needs to, it just "proves" Daniel Bryan right and leaves Miz looking foolish. Look, I want the Miz to turn face eventually, and I'd like to think that the WWE wants that too (He's too Media-Friendly to stay a Heel), but now and against Bryan is not the time or place to do it. You throw him in the exact angle pitched and from word one the Heel is "right". Given how Miz has been booked, his past, and frankly the somewhat stagnation of his abilities, nothing about him says that he can be the "Better Wrestler" against Daniel Bryan.

Miz' transition to being face should be something like Roddy Piper's, since I see Miz as being basically the PG era's counterpart to Roddy in that he's a shit-stirring, weasly heel who's really media-friendly and good at talking.
And again, he is NOT an out of control, slow speaking badass. NEVER do that again, WWE.

I don't like heels in general but my biggest issue for this is there's a lot of times where WWE just throws away a bunch of potentially excellent matches for the sake of a turn. Especially one no one demanded.

It would be a surreal thing watching Miz as a face and Bryan as a heel in Wrestlemania.
