So uh, cool or whatever... ... but when are they going to fix the Lawler problem? Fixing the Cole problem will automatically fix the Lawler problem. Lawler's good when he has a half decent commentator (ie. JR) to play off of. I can honestly not blame him for halfassing his job when he has to be sat next to Michael Cole each week.

And also, I have never once seen a post that even closely resembled "OMG Bleacher Report not gonna read" on this site. If you're going to be condescending, at least do it about something that's actually true. First page of this thread: Bleacher Report; didn't read. So, you were saying? Why do you or anyone else care if people do or do not read something from bleacher report? We've all seen more than enough fakes and Observer misquotes from them to question the validity of anything they say and yes, even justify skipping their articles entirely. They're not a news site, they're a site that steals from other places and re-words what they steal to generate hits.

After all, how many fans are going to want to get behind a pair of nerds? Would The Rock or Steve Austin have gotten over in the Attitude era with Cole constantly reminding the viewers at home what losers and underachievers they were? Probably not.
This tbh.

"As Bryan Alvarez notes in this week's edition of the F4W Newsletter, after the disastrous main event rating of last week's episode of Raw people in WWE management have recently been asking themselves these very same questions about Cole and have since instructed the announcer to tone down his over-bearing character, hence why he has been far more low-key recently: There was a meeting last week after the rating came in where Michael Cole's commentary was discussed. Based on ratings patterns, fans have little interest in seeing anyone on television aside from the tippy top stars, and consideration was given to it perhaps being the result of Cole burying many of them for the last year straight. Yes, they finally considered this after everyone else had been discussing it for months. At least for this week, he was greatly toned down on commentary, particular his burials of talent." This is the part people need to pay attention to for those who are like LOLBLEARCHERREPORTNOTGONNAREADRight, because people in this thread type like that. And honestly, does it coming from Alvarez make it that much more true? The general consensus is this: Bleacher Report = NEWZ! Unreadable! Bryan Alverez = It's gotta be true. Readable. Personally, I do go to Bleacher Report from time to time and laugh at the articles that are purely derivitive (such as a Golden Gophers fan making an article solidifying just how worse Indiana was this past football season and used mascots as an example as to why Minnesota was superior), but some of the stuff that is said seem legit.

My problem with Cole has always been that he isn't what a heel commentator is supposed to be. He isn't alligned with the heels and has a solely personal dislike for the faces, he is actively burying people. Commentators like Ventura, Heenan, and Lawler put down the faces, but they still put them over as threats. For instance, when Undertaker was a face, they seemed scared of him. They didn't flat out tell you the faces were losers who couldn't wrestle. Imagine how it would have been if the Brain had constantly ragged on Undertaker for having a silly gimmick, being slow, and so forth. Heenan was especially good at making himself look like the biggest fool, and he always got his comeuppance. Cole always wins, every single time.
I wouldn't mind Cole as a heel if they could just do it right. As it is, I find myself muting the television while WWE is on for the first time in over twenty years.

Why should I care about this even if it's true? I know you guys haven't so easily forgotten just how awful Cole was before he went heel. Sure, his over the top bitching and whatnot is annoying, but his mediocre commentary was much worse IMO. Especially if he's out there with King. I will not be happy with the return of RAW is SNORE...

Cole is infinitely easier to ignore when he's not acting like a drunken mark. He wasn't a good PBP guy but it makes his work with Tazz sound more like Solie/Heenan than what he's doing now (including comparing himself to Solie).

Make Cole a manager, for the love of god. He's a heat magnet at this point on par with Vickie Guerrero, and he can cut scathing promos against D-Bryan all day with his chosen Superstar (Brodus Clay, maybe?) He's being wasted on commentary, especially considering Scott Stanford, J.R., hell Tony Shiavone could all do a better job as a neutral PBP guy on RAW.

Yeah make him a heel manager, please. My manager from work who I used to talk wrestling with all the time quit DVR'ing it because he couldn't take Michael Cole anymore. Now he just watches TNA.

Thing is Cole outside the booth is an excellent heel. Being a manager would be the perfect role for him.

I wonder if Cole's contract situation would get in the way of making him a manager. I don't know what else Michael Cole does besides commentary on a regular basis for WWE, but I gotta figure right now in his current position he makes more than a manager would. If they made him a manager, would his current salary be justified?

I dunno. Was Ranjin Singh getting paid a great amount to be Khali's manager on top of his gig as a writer?

I don't watch today's product enough to judge this properly, but how would people rate that Lawler is doing in getting the faces over? Naturally, I would think that it'd be his job to get them over in light of Cole's character. Gorilla Monsoon was good foil for Ventura and Heenan and counter-acted their pro-heel announcing.

Nonsense,Cole is bringining in droves of fans who long to hear him scream at those internet darlings punk and bryan,I hear word the meer inclusion of cles name on the bill generated an extra 5 million in gate sales. The real problem is this booking for the internet trend,They need to stop making guys only the internet ever cared about or ever will care about champions and go back to the stable formula of established top guys that have had 3 reigns behind them. IMO this is the only way wwe can hope to get back to 7.0+ ratings. {Spoiler}This is satire
