He could have been Ty Schwartz... No f*** that, that's as bad as Adrian Neville. Why is it that Matt Sydal got a cool name. Yet a guy who trumps him as a high flyer gets stuck as Mr Neville? I cannot believe some people are actually supporting it. He could have had something better. Hell the first name they gave him was much better. Can you really imagine the crowds chanting "let's go Neville," and keep a straight face? The crowd chanted Neville last night after the finish and kept a straight face. I don't see the problem.

Sure if he's good enough. What I can't imagine is someone saying "Well that Corkscrew Shooting Star Press is impressive but I can't root for this guy. His name is too boring." But names are important. How about Chris Jericho, if he debuted as Patrick Greengrass would he really have took off as well as he did? Would CM Punk have achieved the success he did if they gave him the name Ted Smith? Like I said, wrestling names should be something different. The perfect formula seems to be normal first name, unusual but cool sounding surname. Besides, the name doesn't fit him at all. He's a fast, exciting high-flyer who should have a flashy name. Am shocked people are defending it, it's awful and it's a big obstacle for him to overcome. Adrian Neville... it's what you expect the guest jobbers who got fed to Ryback to be called.

Speaking of Jericho, I remember on his DVD where he talked about how the crowd were going to choose his name and how glad he was that the Chris Power option didn't win.
I wonder if he'd feel the same if it had been Chris Neville.

Does John Cena scream Superstar to you?

His name could be Doodoo Brown McPancakeface, and as long as he pulls out what made him famous, IE EARNING the nickname "The Man That Gravity Forgot", I could care less what the name is.

Does John Cena scream Superstar to you? I think John Cena is a good wrestling name. Not the best, but the Cena surname sounds good, is definitely unique and so catches people's attention and stands out from the crowd. And yeah, John is a kinda bland firstname but... common first names paired with a unique surname are, on the whole, what seems to work best in wrestling.
