I feel opposite. I love Konnan and think he's among the most interesting and charismatic guys around. I wish he wasn't basically erased from history as told by WWE. Like you said he was always around in WCW during the Nitro years. Yeah, and despite the thread's reaction to his crappy catchphrases, crowds sure loved to sing along with him as much as they did with say...the Road Dogg's "ladies and gentlemen" bit. It's just one got fondly remembered and the other gets mocked relentlessly. True, but at least Road Dogg didn't say the exact same thing every week. He'd change up his monologue while walking to the ring depending on the opponent/situation. Konnan's was a carbon copy of what he'd said the week, and year, before.

Why does Konnan want to have homo-erotic encounters with us?

I had to look up the defs of these phrases in Urban Dictionary, and i'd rather Konnan just retire.
As others have said, Konnan generated very mixed responses in WCW. Some viewers liked him, but others vehemently did not, the so-called "X-Pac Heat" -the kind that makes the viewer change the channel.(to be avoided at all costs by the promotion)
I was non-committal on the guy until later on when he started trying to extract money by accusing promotions of racism, etc. Not that i don't agree that racism exists, but I also believe that it is used as a convenient excuse for failure.

I loved his rolling clothesline SSOOOOOO much. That move alone makes me like him a little.
I don't know what the potatoes thing means, but I really don't want him to toss my salad.
So i'll say potatoes going in blind.

I don't know what the potatoes thing means, but I really don't want him to toss my salad. I imagine potatoes would involve testicles in some capacity.

Outside of that '99-'01 catchphrase-machine era, I've always enjoyed his work.
It's funny to watch his mid-90s lucha stuff for the American wrestling moves he busts out that the crowd goes nuts for. The same way American audiences reacted to 450 splashes and inverted corkscrew plancha, Mexican crowds get their minds blown with a bulldog. It's the same "I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE!" pop.
Konnan losing his mask in the most heart-wrenching wrestling unmasking ever committed to tape. It's the type of segment I can't see anybody watching it and not going "that was something special."

I'm also a Konnan fan. I loved his rolling thunder clothesline. His catchphrases didn't bother me or annoy me (like the Attitude Era catchphrases annoyed me). The match he had with Juventud (Juventud's debut in WCW) was awesome, he threw Juvi around like a ragdoll!
Konnan threw his shoe in a match in TNA, and it was awesome!

I read the title and immediately started laughing hysterically, knowing exactly what the poll options would be. Amazing.
