...Just finished my fourth listen and am struggling to make heads-or-tails of it.
What did I just listen to?

I plan to check this out later. Anything that gives Theophilus London a bit of exposure, even if it's just a single verse on a bonus track, can't be a bad thing.

DEFINITELY check out Sir Lucious Leftfoot... that was my personal favorite album of 2010, and I'm not a big hip hop fan at all. The new one is good, but no where near as great as that.

I enjoyed Speakerboxxx way more than The Love Below, and If I remember right "Class of 3000" was cancelled due to budget cuts.

I cannot wait to hear this. The individual songs I've heard have been brilliant.

chazraps finally came around to hating rap? YAY! Ha! If I could get through the awful creative wasteland that was the 2008 rap scene, I think I'm in this rap biz for life. The Big Boi album is weird. The beats are cool, and Big Boi (while not as inspired as he was on the fantastic 'Sir Lucious Left Foot') still does his thing, but the whole record feels like a weird mash-up. The production is very experimental indie-rock based, which is usually Andre 3000 territory if anything, so having five minute tracks with Big Boi verses randomly sprinkled in between a whole bunch of singing is just really weird. I like Big Boi's verses, I like the beats, I'm just having a tough time reconciling that they were made together for a single album. Does anyone else think this record is coming at us super-left field?

For anyone who has heard this -
On "Tremendous Damage," does the hook say "tearing up my sober" or "tearing up my soul, but" or something else entirely?

Re-listening to it now. I like it a lot! Totally different from Lucious Leftfoot. "In the A" is fricking insane, btw.

I really wish Ludacris' verse wasn't on "In the A." It's like his 2012 new year's resolution was to be the weak link on posse cuts. Rest of the song is great though. Wish Killer Mike was on it.
My favorite track is probably "Lines."

Bit late to the party, been listening to it on my train journey to work in the mornings for the last few days. While different from Sir Lucious Leftfoot, I'm really enjoying it. I'm about to commit a somewhat blasphemous act to some, and say I actually prefer Big Boi to Andre 3000.

I'm about to commit a somewhat blasphemous act to some, and say I actually prefer Big Boi to Andre 3000. Don't trip, I came to that conclusion after listening to Sir Lucious Leftfoot. I didn't enjoy his new album as much as that one, but I guess I wouldn't call it bad. Let's turn this into a Sir Lucious discussion! haha Favorite song? Verse?

Upon further study, last night, I now know why I like this record so much. It's killer to f*** to! " Thom Petti" in particular . As soon as I heard the beat to this song I knew it would be a great song to get down to. As for MDoggDX316 my favourite song from Sir Lucious Leftfoot was General Patton. Only because it really did get me in the zone every time I worked out. It's actually hard to pick a fave due the whole album being really good. It's always in my playlist rotation, and I must still listen to daddy fat sax daily.
