...for pre-order. But still, it's finally going to be here. I can remember this book being talked about years and years ago. Originally it was supposed to be a joint effort with Julie and Dynamite Kid's ex wife. Anyways, details here: Hart Strings: My life with The Hart Family, Bret and Me by Julie Hart ISBN 9781926639635 Biography 280 pgs with 10 b/w photographs $25 tightropebooks.com/julie-hart-hart-strings/

I don't even know who Julie Hart is.
I also think it's disgraceful that a majority of the Hart family has cashed in on that famous last name. Didn't Owen Hart's wife try to cash in on his death and ultimately the name? Diana Hart Smith takes independent wrestling bookings and now Julie Hart is going to give us 280 pages of drawn out nothingness that could probably fit into an internet blog.
Cash grab. All it is.

Could be an interesting read. Through all of Bret's adulterous behavior, it does seem like he truly loved Julie and I'd love to hear Julie's side of the story about what life was like integrating into that strange family and having 4 kids with a guy who traveled the world and was never around.
Martha really didn't cash in on Owen's death. I think the most she did was drop the criminal charges, and maybe write a book. Otherwise, I don't think she really has much contact with the Harts outside of Bret. She did create the Owen Hart Foundation after he died. Only thing I kind of dislike her for is she refuses to let the WWE induct Owen Hart into the hall of fame.
Diana has always craved the spotlight. Her book was ghost written and filled with lies, and when Harry got released he had to tell his mom to shut up with all the bad mouthing she did.

There's definitely the potential for an interesting story, but I think this has train wreck written all over it.

I hope it stays on shelves longer than Diana Hart's book did.. Julie Hart should have quite a few interesting stories. I'm still curious to hear her thoughts on Montreal since, based on Wrestling With Shadows, she was right beside Bret for a lot of that stuff. Not to mention being backstage right after the Survivor Series where she runs Hunter and some others down. Not sure if I will pre-order or wait and read some reviews first, but I do plan to own it eventually.

Only thing I kind of dislike her for is she refuses to let the WWE induct Owen Hart into the hall of fame. I can't blame her for that. Dropping the criminal charges was a damned decent thing for her to do; I'd imagine having her family being put under the spotlight again because of Owen's tragic death would be more than a little difficult, particularly if her kids didn't want to deal with it (and let's be honest, if Owen hadn't died the way he did, would he still be a candidate for the Hall of Fame? Probably not).

Beyond that, he had quite a solid career, and would certainly have gone in as part of the Hart Family, no question. It's not like we're talking about Bruce Hart.

Julie Hart is Bret's ex-wife and the mother of his 4 kids. who he is/was still very close to. I'm interested to hear her side about the Bret as in his book, Bret does seem to really care for Julie but it seemed like they kind of rushed/pushed their relationship to go a lot further than either probably was comfortable with (Bret loving life on the road, how he was raised to treat wrestling, birth of their first daughter, feeling stressed due to Julie's little sister marrying Dynamite so quickly)

It's very easy for all of us to see a relationship like their's and assume awfulness from one or both parties in any number of ways, yet the dynamics that go into determining whether a relationship/marriage can last tend to be so fluid, so dependent on choices made that can't just be unmade. In this case, it might be Bret and Julie deciding to marry so early on, when they likely could've stood to wait longer. Yes, Bret wound up cheating on her a lot, and there's no real defending that, but it's still interesting to consider the circumstances around that, and think about how people in lives like that handle such different problems than most of us do.

Julie took Vince's side on the Montreal screwjob and said he was just making a business decision in an interview she did a couple of years ago.
