The last issue is out now in stores, and I recently picked it up. Great read. But what made me happy the most was the final couple pages, which brings back our old friend Nester, in a perfect way to truly end NP's run. It's kind of a bittersweet ending, and really makes you think of the nostalgic feeling we had with Nintendo Power, and just how important and amazing it was. So, thanks Nintendo Power. For being not just a great video game publication, but being an amazing part of the lives of so many Nintendo kids for your 24 years on this planet.

I went to a Barnes and Noble while in NYC and I didn't see a copy. I knew they had one on Friday when I was there... I'll never get a copy

Having a hard time finding it down south. Great comic. Haven't read it in years, but I was born in 1983, and Nintendo was life for a long time.

Nester's room reminds me of the Angry Video Game Nerd's old game room.

Its kind of nice to see the official Nintendo Players Guide in that room since that book was the template for what Nintendo Power would be. It would have been neat to see a fun club newsletter as well.

What a way to go out. Loved the Howard and Nester segments.

That was sweet. I had ( still have somewhere) the first issue somewhere, and got a subscription from that, and had I think three years worth of issues ( still have most of them I think).
It's weird, I happened to flip through the book and saw the poster that had all the covers, and realized how few issues out of the run I actually had.. i.e. when I was a kid it seemed like the thirty six months or whatever of my subscription was just a ton of books, and well, it really wasn't.

I think the last time I got a new Nintendo Power was in 1994. I did however pick up the final issue as we have several copies at my store. Perhaps I'll get one more and keep it sealed.

Damn. That comic was a good read. I need to see if Wal-Mart still has a copy or if I can get it online.

Wal-mart is where I found mine.
I think my favorite part was that a handful of the ads were actually farewell love letters to NP. At least 3 of the advertiser used their space to say good by more than to promote. That right there tells you the impact the magazine had.
