Several years ago there ws some guy arrested for raping his girlfriends daughter two towns over from me... he had the same name, I got BLOWN UP with threats and hate mail. People posted my address on line and it was actually pretty scary.

President is talking now, I have the radio on. He took a VERY long pause, sounds like he's fighting some tears back; kind of like when he gave the speech following the Arizona shootings a couple of years ago and got to mentioning the young girl who was killed. Was watching the video live on cnn.com...i started choking up watching him. Yeah he was def fighting back tears. I started outright crying. |

Can we like...not talk about Mass Effect or the small group of people who want to ban it? Who f***ing cares about those people? There's bigger things here to talk about than Mass Effect.

The problem with mental health in this country is that it has such a f***ing negative stigma even if it's something that's completely treatable. We tell people to shrug off things like depression and make light of it, when you may as well be telling someone with a torn ACL to walk it off.
When you treat even people that are getting their mental health problems treated like they're Norman Bates, you wonder why so few people actually go after treatment.

I feel lucky that my name is Andrew MacDonald. A lot of people don't bring up their real name on the internet, but mine is so common that it's impossible for something like what the media so irresponsibly did. Are you referring to them releasing the killer's name in general, or just doing it without giving details to seperate him from the other Ryan Lanzas of this world?? Without giving details. I can see why they released the killers name. It sucks, but it's just simply to identify the individual. I understand not wanting to make him a household name, but it is simply identifying who it is, and I don't take it as anymore then that. But that's just me personally. |

I dont know how a police officer can walk into that building and witness the crime scene... I'd be dead inside, I wouldnt be able to cope. How do you train for that?

Right now...I don't f***ing care because children are dead and Mass Effect is the last thing on my mind. . At this stage, I don't think this is something that needs to be addressed. Let's focus the attention on something more productive. |
