Cole calling The Hart Dynasty boring right to their faces.
It didn't bury him cause it wasn't on TV or anything, but I always think back to this video when I wonder why WWE so quickly squashed the Ryder Revolution. HHH buries Ryder (at 8:25ish in the video) sandwiched in between Miz and Cena saying how much they like Ryder.

That clip also shows how out of touch HHH is, as Ryder did have a very strong following, but HHH insisted the interviewer agree that Ryder's fanbase consisted of three or four people. The interviewer shouldn't have conceded so easily, especially as he knew that what HHH was saying was untrue.

I don't think thats a burial by HHH at all. I remember thinking people took that way out of what it was.
You have to realize HHH can't just respond like Cena or Miz. They're friends of the guy and co workers. Trips is his boss.

"It's not that you're not on my level...it's that you're not on the level below me."

HHH said that he hopes guys like Ryder are the future of this business right after that comment.

People think its a burial because he didn't say how great and special Ryder was like everyone else tried to during the early days of his webshow.
And he's HHH.

I also have a problem with the whole 'these new guys need to step up' cliches because I really don't believe for all his talents that Triple H worked that much harder than anybody else in the ring or on the mic or attitude wise, he just knew the right buttons to push. And then he had the audacity to say that nobody helped him reach the level he did when Foley did exactly that, as well as guys like Rock and Austin who were clearly above HHH's level in 1999. People think its a burial because he didn't say how great and special Ryder was like everyone else tried to during the early days of his webshow. And he's HHH. Really? You can't see why anyone could see dismissing Ryder as having only 3 fans can be seen as a burial?

Cena is Zack's buddy and will wear his merch and say his catchphrases to help get him over. HHH is one of the big guns in charge. A somewhat neutral, realistic response is what he should be giving. Nothing wrong with it at all.

I get your point, but saying a guy has no fans and is basically worth nothing is not the best way to show the prestige of being a WWE superstar.

That was during Wrestlemania 27.
Zack was a legit jobber at that point, with a growing fanbase, but still a straight jobber. I mean if someone asked him about Alex Riley or Yoshi Tatsu today whats he going to say? Probably some stock "Hard worker" "We'll see" "Maybe in the future" response.

This begins and ends with "How to lose 50 pounds in 2 weeks". Yeah, that was also goddamn appauling too. I don't get this one, context? Someone above said something similar about Masters.

"I can have a better wrestling match with a broom then half the guys in the back" I'm paraphrasing of course. Well, he said most of the guys in the back. That implies more than half.
