Simple question.
Which of the two Mystery Science Theater 3000 Christmas episodes was the gold standard of bad Holiday movie riffing.
Was it the z grade sci-fi Christmas story? Or was it Mexico's very odd take on the myth of Santa Claus?
Me personally I gave the slight nod to Mexican Santa just because the in movie riffs had more of an edge to them.
But I will say that Santa Conquers...far and away had the better host segments. (A Patrick Swazey Christmas was one of the best songs they ever did on the show.)

Hmmm, tough one. Santa Claus conquers the Martians is great because I actually knew the movie before they riffed it as my dad had bought it a few years prior and showed it to me because he had watched it as a kid, so I have a connection to the flick.
Santa Claus is such a bad movie (not that the Martian one isn't but at least it was part of the space craze in the 60s) and has some great bits in it (going through all of the countries and insulting them) along with an awesome Christmas song (I think this is better than Patrick Swayze Christmas).
I can't choose

Yeah, Santa Claus is a very very bad movie. At least Martians had camp value. Who the hell looks for a job on Christmas Eve late at night?

Yeah, Santa Claus is a very very bad movie. At least Martians had camp value. Who the hell looks for a job on Christmas Eve late at night? Another thing, if he spent all X-mas Eve only visiting those 4 specific places, are they the only ones to actually get presents from Santa?

Santa vs. the Martians is a Joel episode and it gave us "A Patrick Swayze Christmas", so it wins.
