The twist is probably the Smiths that travel back in time, and they are the first homo sapiens. Calling it now. Well that would imply they would have to get it on with some cave-ladies at some point

I hope the twist is DJ Jazzy Jeff is King of Earth. Also, Uncle Phil is there for some reason.

Looks cool.
Oh, and I can see the time travel thing as being the twist.

Looks like the most expensive CGI-laden home movie the Smiths will hopefully ever make.
Blech...

So in a battle of "Earth has been quarantined and only one blockbuster star can something something." Between this and Tom Cruise's Oblivion. Which wins?

After they crashed, instead of that long speech, wouldn't it have been so much easier to just punch the kid and say, "WELCOME TO EARTH"

I'm hoping the only twist is the one given in the trailer, even if it was obvious. But I doubt it. I think the two mentioned in this thread are the most likely.
Albeit one of my friends raised an interesting point...
...What if this is a sequel to the Happening? M. Night did say before it's release he hoped to make it into a franchise...
God, I hope not.

I didn't see M. Nights name in the trailer at my theater. A wise move.
