A Christmas present for you guys.
*We cut to the outskirts of the Everfree forest, where we see our favorite trio of thieves eating and conversing with.......their descendents.*
So, let me get this straight. You're my great-great-great grandson?
Lupin VIII: "Yep."
But you're not a thief?
Lupin VIII: "Indeed."
Where did my family go wrong?
Lupin VIII: "It was getting less and less challenging to steal what had already been stolen by my family. So I decided to go another route. Freelance detective agency."
Jigen: "Soooo, you became Columbo?"
Ha! Good one!
Goemon: "I think it's a noble idea. To help those in need."
*Lupin looks at Goemon oddly before continuing to eat his portion.*
The one thing I don't get is this. Why did you come to the past? I mean, isn't this kinda dangerous, time-traveling and what not? What if you screw something up that creates a massive paradox that destroys the fabric of space and time?
Lupin VIII: "Wow, I didn't know you knew that much about time travel, Grandpa."
Let's just say I had a few lessons from The Doctor.
Lupin VIII: "Funny, he's the one that helped me out as well. Him and that one purple unicorn."
*Lupin coughs and nearly chokes when he hears about the two.*
Jigen: "Don't choke there, Lupin."
Shut up, Jigen.
*They laugh a little, until Lupin VIII gets a little serious.*
Lupin VIII: "The Doctor did want me to warn you though, Lupin. There will be dark times ahead for you."
No offense, Grandson, but I just dealt with a bunch of giant killer robots. I don't think there's anything that could top that.
Jigen V: "Don't say we didn't warn you. But there will be dark times ahead for you three."
Lupin VIII: "And he will knock four times."
*The trio is a little taken aback by this statement."
What do you mean by that? Who is he?
Lupin VIII: "I'm afraid that's all we can tell you. But tell me about your grandpa. The original Arsene Lupin."
*Lupin brushes off the warning for now and regales his grandson about the tales of Arsene Lupin, the great thief of the early 20th century.*
