Hogan's gimmick should be that you can't make him submit because all his joints are titanium and can't bend backwards.

Would it really make a difference at this point of Hogan became champion? Perhaps not in the sense that it seems nothing TNA does will move the needle one way or the other; but that doesn't = there being any upside to Hogan having the title. People talk about him still being money or bringing ratings, no he's not, not in 2012; that's been shown demonstrably in TNA already. But more than that, for his health, dude's had 8 back surgeries and two fake hips. He's STUPID if has another match.

When Hogan COULD wrestle when he first joined TNA, I felt that having Hogan wrestle once every six months or so, as a special attraction, would be a good thing. It'd help TNA with publicity, help draw ratings/buyrates/attendance for shows he's wrestling on, and they could use it to have him do things he's never done, to add to his legacy and present a "different" Hulk Hogan that people would be interested in seeing; maybe a more extreme Hulk Hogan in hardcore brawls, given that TNA could be more adult-oriented. After the match teaming with Abyss against Flair and AJ, I figured he'd wrestle at BFG in a big attraction match, then again at Slammiversary maybe, and then at BFG 2011. He could face Abyss after the inevitable heel turn, maybe Foley, Jarrett (since that never happened) and young guys like Kennedy. Then his back got even worse - now I'm pretty sure it's basically an impossibility, as the dude can barely walk, as has been mentioned. His match with Sting was nothing short of a minor miracle, one that got by on his and Sting's ability to work a crowd and knowledge of psychology. I figured him teaming with Garrett would be an okay way to hide his weaknesses and have him in a match that might draw and put a young guy over, but they didn't go that way. Either way, a definite "no" on Hogan being TNA champ.
Another thought; stuff like this makes me realize TNA was the perfect company to have a "Legends" title for guys like Hogan, Nash, Foley, Sting and company to be wrestling for, while the AJ Styles', Samoa Joes, Bobby Roodes, James Storms and Jeff Hardys compete over the "World" title. TNA is a company that could really benefit from divisions like that. Unfortunately, they let that idea go long ago.

Bully Ray is actually the only guy i can see pulling off an effective series of matches against hogan. Daniels MIGHT work, but Hardy and Hogan wouldnt mesh well (aside from Muta, hogan never even fought high-flyers in his prime, let alone now). Billy Kidman in WCW.

All of the Internet fans who sold this have bought into an act. Hogan is not serious here. When you give him heat from something he puts on twitter, interviews or tv, you have become his mark.

Randy Savage wasn't considered a high flyer?

He's ready, brother.
I want this to happen just to see the thread that follows. I think it has the potential to top the thread after Orton beat Christian for the WHC.

there you have it kids mark your calendars, you're going to see an old man literally die in the ring. It's a race between Hogan and Flair, isn't it?

With Hulk, you got to worry that it's more than wrestling bravado. This is the same man who after serious back surgery still wrestled against Sting and even took a few bumps. All it takes is him selling this idea to Dixie Carter and/or some SPIKE executive, and it becomes a reality.
