With no family in the immediate area, and my friends all gone for winter break, my Christmas Day was looking pretty bleak and boring.
I had been planning on seeing Django Unchained eventually, so why not Christmas Day?
While browsing the showtimes for Django, I caught myself looking at showtimes for other films, too, specifically The Hobbit, Les Miserables, and Lincoln. This led me to come up with this brilliant idea: why not spend all day at the movies? Not like I'm doing anything too important that day other than maybe watching some football.
Don't know what order I'm watching them in quite yet(trying to minimize downtime between screenings since the theater is kind of on the outskirts of town), but my current itinerary is as follows:
-Lincoln @ 11:50 -Django Unchained @ 3:00 -Les Miserables @ 6:10 -The Hobbit [3D] @ 9:40
So...anyone else seeing a film in theaters on Christmas Day?

Gotta be better than sitting alone at home.
Sitting alone at the cinema at least comes with popcorn!

Considering your situation, it makes total sense to me. I'd love to spend a whole day at the movies, but I'm too stingy with money to do so. I like the line-up as well. Want to see Lincoln and Django, still up in the air about Les Miserables, and The Hobbit was solid. I personally am not seeing anything Christmas Day, though I may go with my brother to my local theater tomorrow, where they're having a free screening of Gremlins.

They should open a movie theater, where they serve Chinese food. You'd make a bunch of money.
