I hear that Undertaker was supposed to run-in during the choke of death Kane had on Show, any truth to the rumor?

Not sure if that's true, but that is the worst WWF/E PPV match of all time in my opinion.

I'll have to look for Herb Kunze's recap of this match; from what I can remember it had me in stitches. Is this the one where they both try to give each other the big boot at the same time?

This is one match where I can say for certain that a run-in would have helped the match.

Not sure if that's true, but that is the worst WWF/E PPV match of all time in my opinion. Steiner vs Hunter at the royal rumble was very bad as well. Plus it was the billed main event and it was 20 minutes of Steiner hitting suplexes and getting gassed after a couple of minutes.

Yup, definitely true. You can see Kane constantly look to the back during the match as to see when it takes place. So they finally say f*** it.
I never understood how someone could miss their cue. I don't know how many times I've seen someone f*** up a finish because they forgot to run in.

So how did they end it if he didn't show up?
And surely people watch this stuff at the back and could have sent 'taker out?

So how did they end it if he didn't show up? And surely people watch this stuff at the back and could have sent 'taker out? They had Hardcore Holly come out with a chair only to get chokeslammed by Show, and then Kane mollywhopped Show with the chair to win. This thread has helped me understand that's probably why that choke went so damn long. As far as worst PPV match ever, I'd still prefer to watch Kane/Show over Bushwhackers/Beverlys from RR 1992. Such an awful, boring match on a show that easily overshadows it.

This entire PPV should never be mentioned again I dunno, the ladder match is good. It and the night after pretty much rewound the clock back to a few months prior with nothing really different besides Triple H now being a viable main-eventer (who wasn't booked for the show, but whatever) as opposed to being really out of place suddenly feuding with Rock after a midcard feud with Kane that's blowoff was a DQ, but the match itself is fun.
