Also, is it just me, or does the new Deadpool have too many zombies in it?

Frankly, the majority of the Marvel Now books are actually really well written.
I mean, even the ones that have a horrible premise like Avengers Arena, or the debatable ones like Spider-Man appear to be really well plotted out and written at a pace that is keeping things interesting and keeping me going back to find out what is next.
The new Deadpool is a bit silly, but after years of Way, it's a fun kind of silly. Aaron's Thor is making me wonder just why he's so awful on X-Men, Bendis is back on great form with his X-men, Hickman is as amazing as usual even if I'm not a fan of his teams. Gillen's Iron Man picked up after a slow start and his Young Avengers is still the #1 book im looking forward to.
Marvel Now hasnt even come close to as angering me or as disappointing me as the New 52.

It started out great, when Avengers vs X-Manz started it started going downhill honestly.

Most of the book is fine, but I hate Idie and the Hellire Brats are the #1 worst thing any writer has done in comics and continued to push despite 99% hatred from all corners in recent memory.

Agreed, it was one of my favorite books until the crossover tie-in's started and then when it was over, Aaron was STILL trying to make the horrible Hellfire Tweens concept work. It's just not going to work, man! His first few issues on Thor have reminded me more of the guy who wrote Scalped than the guy obsessed with the mighty mites of super-villainy.

Anyone reading Hawkeye? I have heard great things. Probably going to wait for the trade to check it out, but just wanted to see what you all thought.

Hawkeye has been quite good. It's really well written and fun. I would definitely give it a try.
And for what it's worth...I haven't always been a big Hawkeye guy. I decided to give the first issue a try, though, and just haven't stopped getting it.

It helps that Matt Fraction and David Aja have been a good one-two combo for the book.

Also, is it just me, or does the new Deadpool have too many zombies in it? Deadpool's had that kind of problem for years now. his book never has any heart anymore, it's all just schtick.

I think it's a really fun book. we'd dedicated quite a bit of the last thread to it. by and large it's not a bad book, but the out-of-left-field Iceman/Kitty pairing and Aaron expecting his readers to take a bunch of genocidal 10 year olds seriously has really hurt the book.

Or sacrificing years of continuity to enforce their ideas of the characters rather than trying to write a good story with what they already had. thats what they have yearly cross-over events for
