If only we had overtime, Petterson could have gotten the record.

If only we had overtime, Petterson could have gotten the record. If they hadn't called some bizarre Ponder passing plays he gets the record easily.

Peterson is like Brees in 2008. One play away from an NFL record.

Adrian Peterson is your 2012 NFL Most Valuable Player. I will not entertain any other discussion. No record, no MVPeterson. MVPeyton. Yep. People knew Peterson was coming back, there was doubt whether or not Peyton would come back. You can give AP the award, Peyton will take the ring.

Peyton has played pretty well. Adrian Peterson had the best season ever for a runningback after a horrific knee injury. The injury argument is only relevant for Comeback Player, not MVP.

Peyton Manning is my favorite NFL player ever.
There's no way he gets the MVP over Peterson. Do you have any idea where Minnesota is without him going for 2,000? Not in the playoffs, where the Broncos won a year ago without Peyton. This should be a run away.

Adrian Peterson is your 2012 NFL Most Valuable Player. I will not entertain any other discussion. Bingo. Peyton can have Comeback Player of the Year, but no way anyone but Peterson should be MVP. If the Vikings had lost him, they'd have 5 or 6 wins at the most. Denver still good enough to be a 10 win team with an average QB.

So do we change thread title to something involving AP or Colonel Romo's Last Stand?

But he still is on a a lower seed team who has no bye week and a mediocre record. Manning carried the Broncos from 1-3 to the number 1 seed in the AFC.

No record, no MVPeterson. MVPeyton. Really? How would 9 yards make Peterson any more valuable? Because Peyton came back from a career ending injury, joined a new team, had his 2nd or 3rd best season and led them to a 1 seed and a bye. Only thing AD had going for him over Peyton was the record and he didn't get it.
