Decent show. Mankind vs. Show's a fun brawl, the main event's fantastic, and I recall the Taker/Shamrock match being okay.

X-Pac vs HHH is very underrated. I think this is the best PPV of 1999, but that's not saying much.

Solid show all around with no real crap matches sans Taker/Shamrock (typical '99 Taker snoozefest), and some entertaining matches in Rock/Austin, Foley/Show, Snow/Holly and HHH/X-Pac. Do agree with game415 above me, probably the best PPV of a year filled with endless horrible PPVs.

I still have this show on tape. I mostly remember Austin/Rock, which I thought was good and better than their Wrestlemania match. I thought Triple H vs. X-Pac was a decent match, though could have been better without the Kane interference (It was Russo's booking, what do you expect?).
I also thought that Al Snow vs. Hardcore Holly was decent. The boiler room brawl was no Taker/Mankind at Summerslam 1996, but still fun to watch.
I only remember Shamrock vs. Undertaker for being boring. They did a lot of restholds and used to many holds to try to make the other person submit. Kayfabe-wise, I like how Shamrock tried with all of his might to make Taker submit because I remember hearing in the commentary that Undertaker never submitted in a match up to that point. However, the match was still a snoozefest and I remember when I watched it a long time ago, I wondered when it will end.

All I really remember about this is the Austin vs. Rock match and Undertaker kidnapping Stephanie. Austin/Rock was a good brawl, but just like any other 1999 pay-per-view nothing else but the main event really stands out.

I remember feeling at the time that this show was just ridiculously stacked. Trips vs. X-pac, Taker vs. Shamrock (a match I always wanted to see), and Rock vs. Stone Cold 2. I don't think it's a great show, but at the time I was pretty satisfied with it. I guess I still am.
