Tazz's debut, the tables match, and WWE title bout kind of overshadow the Rumble for me (which other than Taka's bumps and the Too Cool dance) wasn't particularly memorable.

This was my first WWF PPV, so maybe I'm biased but I think this is a f***ing fantastic show - and the lack of star power in the Rumble is made up for by the perfect booking.
Also, probably my favourite JR call of all time - 'What the hell is Bob Backlund doing here?'

Best PPV of 2000. I wish I still had my DVD.

I still have nightmares about Mae Young's "things".
And now, so do you...

Loved the PPV from top to bottom. Remember watching it on Channel 4 into the small hours.
Well I could have done with Mae's boobs but still.

That, unfortunately, is why we haven't seen WWE on terrestrial TV for a long time apparently. I know they were often an hour behind with live shows, but it was always nice to have it on the main channels.

Anybody remember Taka landing on his face outside the ring?
Road Dog I believe clinging to the turnbuckle for a solid 10 minutes?

I have the DVD of this event. The street fight was match of the night for me. Just totally brutal violence right there.

ROCKY'S FEET HIT THE MAT! The Street Fight is one of my all time favorites, but man was 8 year old me pissed when HHH won.

One of my favorite PPV's ever. Other then the tag title match everything was good. I always liked the set too with the short entrance with the taxi hanging above.

Was this the one where Kai En Tai kept crashing the Rumble?
I remember Lawler laughing at Taka's bump for what seemed like forever.
