And so, Nagata manages to duck the mist, but Muta still hits the Shining Wizard to get the victory. Next up is something of an old school clash. So far, he's beaten Suwama and Go Shiozaki, he goes from new school to old school. One of the "Three Musketeers" of NJPW, Shinya Hashimoto! This bastion of the sport has beaten Tadao Yasuda and Jumbo Tsuruta so far. Can he stand up against his opponent this round? Once again, Antonio Inoki!

And there you have it. Inoki uses the Enziguri to put Hashimoto away. Next match is something of a mismatch, but there might be surprises..... So far, he's had easy wins over Ryota Hama and Kohei Sato, but now he faces a true challenge. The current IWGP Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi! In the previous rounds he's beaten Akebono and Bob Sapp. Now he faces a more worthy contender. Looking to crush is Kenta Kobashi!

Another straight five. Kobashi nails Tanahashi with a big dropkick followed by a Moonsault to get the win. As for the next match? Let's say it'll be a brawl.... The master of the Lariat has beaten Takashi Suguira and Masato Tanaka thus far, but now he's in for a hell of a challenge. The Bad Man from Borger, Stan Hansen! So far the leader of nWo Japan has beaten Yoshihiro Takayama and Takeshi Rikio, now he faces a big challenge. Master of the Kenka Kick, Masahiro Chono!

Odd finish to that Kobashi/Tanahashi match. Again, I've simmed this match on VPW2. They immediately started hitting each other with the lariats and Kenka Kicks. A cool spot was when Chono threw punch at Hansen. He ends up no selling it and throws a punch of his own. Chono blocks it and does the Kenka Kick, sending him over the ropes onto the outside. Hansen starts to come back and hits a dazed Chono with his signature LARIATOOOO, getting the pin. Good match.
