So, while we are all watching the game, my hubby offers me a Sam Adams. Being as I am a drinker and I have never had one before, I thought sure why not....
.....IT TASTES LIKE SHIT
That is all

Yeah, I'm not a big fan either. Some of their seasonal ales are great, though.

I know this is an incredibly unpatriotic thing to say, but Sam Adams is the only major American beer that I actually like. Budweiser does nothing for me, you can keep Miller, and to hell with Coors for me. But Sam Adams is the only major beer brand I consider to be a proud representative of my country's beer-making prowess. In fact, it's time for a controversial confession: Here in Japan, there are only really two American beers that are available in stores or bars: Budweiser and Sam Adams. Obviously, if I'm in the mood, I choose the latter. But that also means that there are tons of American beers, including Miller and Coors, that are totally unavailable in this country, and which I only get to see at the times when I go back to the U.S. during my breaks from work. During those times where I go back to my homeland, you know what the first beer I always want to buy in an American liquor store is, since they don't sell it in Japan? {Spoiler}MOLSON I said it, I meant it, and if you got something to say 'bout it, bring it on.

if its regular boston lager, than I agree Yeah, their 'famous' Boston Lager is rather disgusting. Try one of their seasonal beers (Octoberfest, Summer Ale, Winter Lager, etc.) and you'll probably be much happier. Personally, I'd go with their Cherry Wheat to start out with, or anything thing with lemon in it. EDIT: Since you're saying it was very bitter, it might have been their Latitude 48 IPA. I bought that same style a few months after my 21st birthday. It was so nasty that, even with hot wings to go with it, I couldn't finish more than half a bottle. Hell, I think the remaining four bottles are still sitting out on my parent's sun-porch nearly 3 years later, untouched.

I like Sam Adams, but my favorite American beer is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Sam Adams is ok. There's much better beer out there. Gimme a good IPA any day. SAMs IPAs are bogus

I looked at the bottle from the Trash, it was in fact Lattitude 48 IPA. So assuming what you all are saying, that was nowhere near what Sam Adams is capable of
As for me.....My usual beers are usually Bud and Miller (My dad's side was budweiser, my sister and the middle generation drinks miller). I have never had Pabst, and the only other beer I had that got me f***ED up was one where, even though I can't remember the name of it, was one with a Blue Mountain on it. I don't remember anything but chugging the whole 12 pack before realizing what a bad idea that was ;D
As for liquor.....I have ventured into most liquor. Tequila, Vodka, Rum, Whiskey....The only ones I have not had were Johnny Red or Black, Bacardi 151, and Everclear*
*I had a little bit of Everclear mixed with punch at my exes birthday, but by the time I got to it it was not only almost gone but watered down where you only taste the punch
