I remember both ECW games and they were both horrible games not as bad as backstage assault but still bad enough

I liked Acclaim's WWF Warzone/Attitude engine, so I also enjoyed ECW Hardcore Revolution. It didn't really capture the "ECW spirit", but it was still a decent game.

I've still got this game. Don't really know why. I think I do as well. Actually think I have both floating around my house. I loved ECW having games and bought them because of it but they sucked bad. The Pit Match was a neat feature but the magma/lava match was horrid. That is not even getting into the usual Acclaim controls where simple suplex required a MK Fatality style button combo.

I quite remember liking the barbed wire rope matches and was surprised they had guys writhing and you could see blood coming when they made contact.

I liked the CAW mode on this, but that was about it.

I agree, the controls were terrible. And running the house show loop really made you feel bad for anybody in a similar situation in real life. Facing nothing but scrub wrestlers, referees, cameramen and the like just to work your way to the TV title. Only chance I ever got to face anybody halfway decent was if I created my own PPV.
