Have people on here seen this? At the last New Japan show, Kazushi Sakuraba fought Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental Title. Nakamura goes in for a takedown and Sakuraba knees him in the head and knocks him out cold. Good to see his instincts are still sharp. Too bad this wasn't an MMA fight.

Nakamura won the match so he must have recovered fairly quickly.

Reminds me of Nakamura getting all f***ed up from a Takayama knee in 2004.

Sakuraba's still conditioned to do that through years of MMA.
That had to suck for Nakamura

A move Saku never hit in a fight. Nice.

That's like the opposite of Brock Lesnar's ground and pound, which looked about as threatening as Shawn Michaels'. Instinct is a funny thing.

I love the way he seems so casual about it. You can see a hint of "Oh, Shit." on his face though.

So was Nakamura trying to shoot on Sakuraba or something?

Also, it wasn't a KO. Nakamura sold it like death, but no KO.
And Nakamura was trying for a takedown. This is the same spot that he uses in his matches against Takayama and the result is always the same: try takedown, eat knee, sell it like death. Nakamura is THAT good.
