But all jokes aside, I'M PUMPED! I mean, I never really found any fault with the THQ games (which may be due to me having a soft spot for them due to them creating all the games I played as a little kid), but I've played the 2K games, and I think that this could be a quantum leap forward for the franchise.
Now the only question is if it'll be out this year or if they'll take a year off to work with the assets?

All jokes aside, we could have one hell of a game on our hands should 2K Games/Visual Concepts be assigned it. Gameplay wise, it has the potential to be outstanding. They'd have to take a hell of a lot of the pre-existing style to ensure it doesn't bomb though. Custom themes, custom entrances, custom everything. Playing NBA 2K13, there's not much in the way of appearance customisation. In my opinion, a Yukes/Visual Concepts collab published by 2K Games, would be the best possible course of action for now. This really could be the start of something new. I'm thinking something like Fire Pro Wrestling, next-gen-non-avatar style. Now the only question is if it'll be out this year or if they'll take a year off to work with the assets? I actually think taking a year out would be a good idea. For the most part, WWE '13 could hold it's own for another year. Whoever is assigned the game, work with Yukes to develop up to date DLC and addons to the game to keep the current game fresh. In the meantime, work together on transitioning the game to Take-Two and developing their own interpretation of the game. It's going to change a lot, but damn it could be good.

If they really want to have a game out this year, they could really rush it and it would come out super janky or get Yuke's to work on a stopgap WWE 2K14 while VC works on the engine for 2K15 and onward. If they're willing to wait until they have a full game made by VC that won't be rushed, then I could see it coming out at around Wrestlemania XXX or Summerslam 2014.

A yearly May release would make sense. Most of the 2K Sports games are release within a month of the respective sport's season starting. Obviously, WWE doesn't have an offseason, so they wouldn't have that luxury. However, they do have the equivalent to the Superbowl, NBA Playoff Final, Stanley Cup and whatever the MLB equivalent is. Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania is nearly always in early April, so make the game a May release so it comes with the start of the WWE 'season'.

Has anyone downloaded a Rhino CAW that has what looks like official artwork for his profile pic? It's the only one I've seen like this.

Now we need a WWE/Bioshock crossover starring Hornswoggle in drag as the Little Sister and Brodus Clay as the Big Daddy.

Cool. I wonder how they did it. Hacking the game, and injecting official pictures into the game via saves from a PC. It was a hot thing to do last year, and THQ probably thought they had put a stop to it this year. So, as if on cue...

You know that new move that Cesaro came with, the one where he rubs the guy's face on the mat and then gives him an elbow? I think it's glitched. Whenever I've attempted it in-game, and it's reversed, the would-be recipient of the elbow bugs out instead of reversing successfully. I gave the move to Tensai (trying to find an elbow that looks remotely good for the guy), and the same thing happens. Not trying to nitpick or anything, just found it odd.

Yep, on CAWs last year it was pretty popular and then they weren't allowed to talk about hacking and stuff. Someone actually made me a render for my CAW (well, her picture base). Can't hack the PS3 though. Here it is anyway. Since we no longer have to deal with THQ I'm hoping they can make this feature actually official. Hell, I think now we will be seeing a lot of better things. Glad Take-Two Interactive picked up the series. Excited to see the next game!

Im really hoping that they bring attention to how big a deal an in depth caw mode is to the WWE games, if I see a CAW mode in the future that resembles WWF Attitude or even the TNA game, I'll cry.

Anybody else mention WWE '13 as unlucky? Weird how it was basically a send off and homage to the first game.

Anybody else mention WWE '13 as unlucky? Weird how it was basically a send off and homage to the first game. Also, the last THQ-made WWE game shares an honour with the last Acclaim-made WWF game. Both had Attitude Era-centered elements in them (obviously so for the latter, given that it made smack dab in the middle of it and was actually called WWF Attitude).
