Just a quick question: I've seen posts saying the servers could go offline. Does this mean DLC will also become unavailable individually cause that's done through the 'WWE Shop' thing?

I'm hoping Yukes is kept on or something, because I really don't want to lose all of the gameplay variety presently on hand.

I really want something fresh and new. I can live without gimmick matches if the gameplay is actually fun and not this mind numbing chore like it currently is.

I guess, but personally, if you don't give me something extra to do on the side I'm probably not going to like the game. Why I sold All Stars like a month after I got it - decent enough game but other than the ludicrous amount of time you had to sink into unlocking outfits there's basically nothing to it after you finish Fantasy Warfare.

I'll still take a bare bones 'building block' game with a brand new engine over continuing down the same boring stagnant road.
I would agree that they should keeps Yukes around if the engine they had made was actually engaging or had potential but really it's just a slow and plodding way to play a wrestling game.

The game will have to "last" a year so a small roster and lack of modes would be a real problem. I say, make a good game and just skip this year, WWE13'll have to do until 2014. Let's not forget it they want to bring out a new WWE game for the holiday season, they probably also want to make versions for WiiU and the next Playstation/Xbox consoles, as well as 360 and PS3 (maybe 3DS and Vita, too), which will be a VERY hard task.

If you unlock a new feuds pack, do you have to reset universe for it to start working, or does it add itself? Thanks for any help.

I was told if you skip and sim stuff in Universe mode you don't get cut scenes and storylines. In Universe mode I got Raw, Smackdown, and ROH. ROH is mostly filled with CAWS. If I sim Raw/Smackdown but watch and play the ROH shows will I get to see storylines and cut scenes?

Actually, after I reset Universe last time, I did the remove all Alies and Enemies, then simmed past 2 months. The computer made up new feuds by it self as it went and I had cutscenes and new enemies and allies based on my roster choice. You can also tell which matches have cutscenes in them if you go to MAtch Creator. If there's a cut scene, warns you not to change the rules. You can still change participants to get people you want to show up in the scene.

Maybe Take 2 should do another Legends type game as an experiment if they're going to build a new engine. (Still hoping for a good 80's game)

want on 17 different levels.. I know a lot of people weren't on board with an EA game, but I'd love Game Face to used in WWE games. CAWing would be so much easier.

Heh, I'm almost gonna be disappointed when it isn't like that! Real talk though, a WWE game running on say, the Fight Night Champion engine would be amazing.

I did think of one positive. No more awful face captures. Booker T in WWE 13 was friggin awful.

In Universe Mode I just had Cena beat Malenko, Dean is getting stretcherd out (1st time seeing that) and Cena attacks him again, but Malenko isnt on the injured list, that usual?
Bear in mind my Universe just will NOT co operate no matter how many little tricks I try.

Injuries seem to happen at random...

So, what are 2k's sport game credentials like? Only games I can think of by them are Mafia 2 and Borderlands 2. I like both of 'em, but they aren't exactly relevant to a wrestling game.

NBA 2K: The best basketball games period (they're so much better than what EA was doing that EA hasn't put out a simulation NBA game in like 4 years). Top Spin: Really fun tennis games with some alright customization (nothing compared to WWE) that are put out every three to four years. MLB 2K: They're not very good and that mostly has to do with the fact that 2K was required to make them as a result of them buying the exclusivity rights to them in 2005 (the deal expired in 2012) and them losing a ton of money of them despite being the only baseball game on Xbox. They're still making them, but I could see them dropping it in favor of WWE. NHL 2K: Sort of like NBA 2K but it reverse where EA makes the better game and 2K's stopped making them. NFL 2K: They don't make them anymore (because of EA's exclusivity rights to the NFL), but when they were, they were regarded as better than EA's game.

In short, if the potential WWE game is like the NBA 2K games, we're all good.
