Let's say hypothetically the WWE or WHC goes vacant just before the Rumble. Would a Rumble for that particular belt be worthwhile to you? I think it could be fun. Granted not quite as much as the 1992 Rumble, but could mean slightly less sign pointing at least.

They had a royal rumble on smackdown in 2004 for the no 1 contender shot for Brocks's title which Eddie won. I mean it could but I like the current system

If it's somebody like Sin Cara pointing at it there will be no problem at all.

Put both World Champs in the Rumble, have the Rumble be the unification match.

How about a Rumble with the last two guys facing off in a regular match right there.

I'm starting to wish that they'd go back to the Rumble not winning you anything, so there could be more freedom in booking a fun Rumble.

f*** yeah, that'd be amazing. I mean, if you're gonna have two MitB contracts, the Royal Rumble don't mean shit, unless the wrestler kayfabe really wants to wrestle at Wrestlemania.

It used to be a big deal just to get on the card at Mania. Now they just throw together multi-man matches so everyone's happy...kinda.

It would be a nice change, but wouldn't have the same impact as 1992, since winning the title these days means less.

How about a Rumble with the last two guys facing off in a regular match right there. Go all out and do a Gauntlet Rumble. Winner gets a title shot, but he has to face the champ immediately after the Rumble concludes. For extra tension, the 29 eliminated Superstars function as Lumberjacks for the match.

They were rumored to do that in 2001, though if they did it now, it would feel forced since they always try to recreate history instead of making new history with the present.

The thing about the 1992 Rumble was that it had at least 10 guys that could have believably won the belt.
The way WWE books now, a Rumble for the belt would be a glorified one-on-one match with 28 guys serving as filler.

Seems like a better prize than "Jerk the curtain at Wrestlemania!".

To be fair, they have done that since at least Wrestlemania 4 with the Battle Royal, also WM8's 8 man tag, WM 10's planned 10 man etc.
