CM Punk should have him as a new lackey. He can brag about being a workhorse but ends up getting his asskicked by all the hosses. It would be like Crash Holly!

I'm just waiting for someone to make him into a MLP workhorse.

Should be this year's Smackdown Money in the Bank winner, in my opinion.

Should be this year's Smackdown Money in the Bank winner, in my opinion. Yeah, that'll really help get rid of the B-Show image. I think at this point they should fully embrace SmackDown as the B-Show. Draft all the top guys to RAW officially, and draft all the midcarders to SmackDown. Let SD be the platform where midcarders actually get to shine and get over with the fans. Maybe have 1-3 main eventers make advertised appearances every week for the sake of the ratings/ticket sales, similar to Main Event's concept, but treat the top guys like the "guest hosts" of SmackDown. Maybe the focus of SD can be the Intercontinental Champion (who would appear on both shows) or a high profile Tag Team Champion pairing like Team Hell No. Focus SmackDown around the low card guys that can actually get a reaction, like Santino, Ryder, Riley, Clay, Tensai (Albert Chants are a reaction). Whenever they bring in someone like The Rock, you can have him on SD cutting his promos. Maybe some Arrive, Rock Bottom, Leave segment with Brad Maddox.

I was surprised that the crowd even reacted to Tyson Kidd's name during that promo as I didn't think the average fan would remember him due to his lack of televised matches.

I believe he moved to Tampa when he signed with WWE and was sent to FCW (which operates there). He might still be there. I believe The Anvil still lives in that general area too, so the locals may know Tyson (and Nattie) very well.

Tyson Kidd has been appearing on TV more and more since the build to MiTB as well as the rebuilding (half-assed rebuilding, but rebuilding nonetheless) of the tag division.

Punk could have mentioned anyone as the "workhorse" and it would have been cheered and reacted to. He mentioned Tyson Kidd in an interview after the original pipe bomb, referencing that he was a great worker, but lacked promo skills and went on to mention that it was everyone's job to help him with promo skills.
I was also struck by his mention of Brodus as a 400 pound monster. I still remember Brodus's awesome promo on the NXT finale when he lost. I'm hoping that was a way of relaunching both guys. I am aware that it is more likely that creative wasn't listening, or it went over their heads.

And from the "bad timing department": PWInsider: WWE WORKHORSE INJURED, OUT FOR CLOSE TO A YEAR By Mike Johnson on 2013-01-10 17:40:38 WWE star Tyson Kidd (TJ Wilson), who was dubbed a "workhorse" by CM Punk on his promo this past Monday, will be out of action 10-12 months. We're still working on details of exactly when this happened but Kidd suffered a fractured knee and a torn ACL over the holiday house show loop. Kidd's team with Justin Gabriel had regularly been one of the best parts of WWE's secondary TV programming like Superstars, so this is a real blow to those shows.

I love that Punk basically buried him. If you are the guy mentioned as the epitome of failure and fan/company apathy, you're doing it wrong.
