Is just me or is Peter Venkman in the Real Ghostsbusters cartoon is just a completely different character from the way he was in the movies.
I know live action and cartoons, different actors, but for the other Ghostsbusters though they are completely the same in the cartoon as they are in the movie, I can still see their simularities.
Peter Venkman in the movies he was the wise guy big mouth leader of the Ghostbusters, yeah Egon was the most brainy of the bunch, but Peter he was the leader. While in the cartoon he came off as another sidekick.
I don't know, maybe the absence of Dana and Walter to show off certain aspects of his personality, maybe because I more associated Garfield and that fat blue gummi bear with cartoon Peter than I did the movie.

My favorite Venkman quip. Bill Murray got Lorenzo Music fired because he didn't like the way he did the voice. Years later, Bill Murray goes on to voice Garfield, who was originally voiced by Lorenzo Music.

The video game also seems to push Ray and Egon more as the "leaders" of the group. Peter's just the cool one.

Well I also thought Winston appeared more younger than he was in the movies. More like he was originally indented to be, he was suppose to a younger guy played by Eddie Murphy. And voiced by Arseno Hall a good buddy of Eddie Murphy.

I watched the cartoon before seeing the movies. I even remember mixing up Ray and Peter, because in the cartoon, Ray looked more like Bill Murray than cartoon-Peter did, and vice versa with me thinking cartoon-Peter looking a little like Dan Aykroyd.
But then again, the only similarities that both versions of Egon had were that they wore glasses and were very smart, but Harold Ramis had brown hair, whereas the cartoon version had blond hair.
By the way, did anybody notice how when Ghostbusters II came out, Janine looked more like her cartoon counterpart? Ernie Hudson was clean shaven in that role because Winston was clean shaven on the cartoon.
