I just can't wait for Richie Steamboat's "Master of the destiny of the WWE" gimmick. He's shaped the company since Wrestlemania 3!!

They're retarded if they change Richie's name. Hell, how many wrestlers can say they were carried to the ring as a baby at WrestleMania? Dude's got a built-in WWE legacy.

Honestly I'd love to see it. No name change though

I think the issue is that if Richie does come up if he goes straight into an Intercontinental title feud he may be rejected by fans. Not saying that Wade is mega over as a midcarder (anywhere but Britain) but he's established as a relatively dangerous opponent so him losing so quickly after he won the belt may be counter-productive. Unrelated from the topic's subject I don't really like Richie despite him being solid in ring. For Richie, here's how it goes: 1. Debut him as an opponent Wade easily laughs off at first. 2. Richie wins with the flukiest of pinrolls on RAW, non-title of course. 3. Let Richie get a somewhat upper hand going into a PPV. 4. Let Wade win convincingly at the PPV, but let Richie put in such a strong show that he cannot be missed. Seems obvious to me.

Well apparently many in power see him as a better heel so if the fans do turn on him it makes the heel turn that much easier and plus he gets a little credibility as IC champ along with his fathers name which is better than a cold debut.

I'd really like this and it'd get Richie over as well as baby face. Plus it's not like Wade is doing much else.
