But last night I really got irked by some. So I went to an NXT live event where there was a meet & greet w/ Dolph/AJ/ Big E was great and all then the show started and I was stuck by this guy who I recognized from TNA i'd seen him before and he went all elitist smark on me when the main event came on and which was Dolph/Brad Maddox vs. Briley Pierce/Trent Beretta and he thought he was so in the know by mentioning to me several times that Dolph and AJ are a couple on tv while Trent and AJ are together in real life.
The other was a kid who was behind me like 7 or 8 and he kept yelling like crazy at every little thing and yelling at guys to do this to that and this kid even started yelling out insider terms and I was like ::facepalm:: I was thinking why isn't this kid at home like doing homework or something marking out like crazy over a bunch of unknowns and stuff. Then while the main event mentioned earlier was on he went all cena mega mark saying you can't see me dolph and i'm thinking to my self he can't hear you either kid so cork it already.
Ever have a similar experience and think yea this is reputation we get thanks guys

Sounds like a kid that was into the show to me even with very few stars on the card. Awesome.
I think one instance I remember was in the arena for Survivor Series in 2010. A few kids were wearing full Cena gear and just walking around with their parents. Some grown ass douche in a No Remorse Corps shirt actually goes up to the kids and yells "CENA SUCKS! He can't wrestle!" at them.
No excuse for garbage like that.

I liked and dressed up as Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan as a kid. So I don't look down on kids for liking and/or acting like Cena.

I have no problems with kids pretty much chanting whatever they want at a wrestling show.
However, adults should keep their chants or comments simple or witty (not smarkish/know it all).

It's pretty depressing that it can start as early as 7 now. I don't think I even heard my first insider term until I was 18.

The "insider" aside...I don't really see an issue with the other fans you mentioned. Kids can be annoying, yeah, but it's wrestling, they were enjoying the show, nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

FCW's website used to have some videos of the divas interviewing fans of all ages. One of them was this boy who couldn't have been older than 11 at most who was wearing an old school ECW Title belt and when asked who his favorite FCW wrestler was, he replied with "Tyler Black"

I try to keep it lighthearted at WWE events so as not to spoil things for anyone. I simply turn my megaphone volume up to max and yell "UNDERTAKER IS A REGULAR GUY HIS REAL NAME IS MARK CALAWAY"

I don't know, it can be fun to goof on the kids sometimes, especially if you're rooting for someone you KNOW will lose... (so they don't get mad/sad afterwards).

Strange a kid that young already knows quite a few insider terms.
I knew it was a work by the time I was 10, but I still didn't know what exactly insider terms were for another couple of years.

The response to that AJ/Dolph thing should have been Briley being Dolph's Brother... or that AJ and Trent aren't together anymore... either one I guess

Wrestlemania 23.
-Kid freaked out over Undertaker's entrance.......by continuously yelling "he's wearing the hat! he's wearing the hat!"
-30ish guy in front of me absolutely flipping out to every move in Cena/HBK...as a Cena mark...kept yelling about how he's an American hero as a Marine.

Was at a Smackdown house show in 2003 and Brian Kendrick wrestled, this was just a couple weeks after he debuted and the guy next to us was going on and on about how great Spanky is after he kept saying "Spanky's wrestling tonight?" and we had no clue who Spanky was but he kept going on about him. Looking back I know who he's talking about but was not in the know at the time.

I remember at a house show one time a guy in his mid 30s actually had the gull during a Muhammad Hassan match, (Which was one week before he was gone from the company) "Muhammad's the best...I'm a terrorist!" Our reaction:

It's been awhile since I was at a wrestling event, but there's only one incident that stands out in my mind. I forget who the tag team was, but one face turned on his partner and walked away. Behind me was a heavyset couple reaching into a large bucket of food, going to assume it was chicken. I hear the wife/girlfriend yell "Ain't that a b**ch?!" in between sounds of chewing and slurping up food.

I was at a Reno house show back in 2009 it was great fun and I really enjoyed myself. During the intermission there was a guy about 20 years old decked out in full Cena Merch and title belt walking up to everyone doing the Cena taunt as if it was the most offensive burn ever. Guy was getting really annoying until, in retaliation another fan walked right up to him and did the DX crotch chop. The offence Cena kid took to a wrestling taunt was hilarious and had me crying with laughter x

I'll never forget going to The Mark in Davenport and listening to this 40+ year old guy go on and on about The Big Show dishonoring his father's legacy (his father being Andre the Giant).
He then talked about how Austin was going to wrestle that night. This was in 2008... for a house show.

I knew a kid, that, regardless of whether he was in the conversation at the time, whenever I brought up WWE he would go, "Dude, that stuff is FAKE!". Like that would crush my dreams, and I would never watch wrestling again. It's always interesting to hear non fans talking about wrestling.
