Didn't a midget pull a gun on someone on one of the early weekly TNA PPVs? EDIT: Yes.

Same reason grenades and flamethrowers would look stupid in wrestling too. Handsome Chuckie T proves you wrong...

Guns/Swords/Knives seem to fall into the same category of "just too much". Sledgie is probably the closest to that line I've personally seen. ![](http://i1.wp.com/kocosports.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Goto-Anderson-NJPW-BIG.jpeg?resize=610%2C386)

Once ya introduce guns and such, it just makes them wrestling each other stupid. Same reason why when they have vehicular assaults and such, it's lame as hell.
" You nearly killed me! Now I'm gonna take your title."
Using guns, especially in today's climate, would be ridiculous.

It makes sense why they would never have been used as threatened weapons, but in territories where guns were ubiquitous, it's kind of surprising they weren't referenced more or used as props, etc. Or that there weren't more gimmicks involving hunters.

And even then HHH has to attack guys with it a certain way. Although I can buy his heel character being brutal enough to injure you with a hammer, but not soulless enough to want to risk going to jail.

Flamethrowers have been used in wrestling, as I recall:
HHH disguised as Goldust used a flamethrower on Kane.
It sounds like I made that one up, but I'm almost sure I didn't.

I also remember another incident where Chyna took a flamethrower to the face, and I think X-Pac might have also gotten one.

I know, what's the difference, it's still fire to the face...but still...

In Michigan they passed a bill where people can bring guns into arenas. If they used one as a prop, a carried away fan could shoot the said wrestler. I'm pretty sure that law got vetoed.

Because why wouldnt anyone use one in a No Holds Barred/No DQ match? How could that end poorly in a live crowd? The live crowd is kinda what makes guns and wrestling an odd fit for me (other than "Well, why don't you just shoot your opponent in no DQ matches/behind the ref's back and get an easy win every time out?") is the fact that in wrestling you see the audience. Pro wrestling, along with stand up comedy and live music has little to no "fourth wall" between audience and performer, thus taking out a gun would be awkward as hell. There has been "very special episodes" of sitcoms such as Family Matters and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air about gun violence. Both of these shows were pretty much light hearted sitcoms (for the most part) filmed infront of a live audience. Now we can hear the audience (or atleast a laugh track simulating an audience) but we never see the audience. But if during one of these very special episodes about gun violence, they turned the cameras around and we saw the live studio audience watching this it would feel awkward because then when you see the audience, theoretically they're "fair game" to be shot.

What gun angle was Hogan involved in? At Spring Stampede 2000 he had promised to show up at the event and did so looking for Eric Bischoff who had recently screwed him and aligned himself with Billy Kidman. Eventually Hogan found Bischoff in a lockeroom and tried to grab him but just as Bischoff was about to be harmed Russo and multiple cops entered the locker room and the cops pulled guns on Hogan. Hogan obviously gave up and went to jail. It was a really cool moment though it made Hogan look so uncontrollable that the Cops had to pull guns to get him to comply and that's exactly what they were going for.

Because if there's guns, there's no need to "wrestle" hence no show. Because the biggest ***** would just run for his pistol instead of throwing down. /Russo on Glock on a pole, last man standing match. SWERVE Its actually a cap gun & ends in a DQ. /Russo off Don't be so silly, an "on a pole match" would be no DQ. It would end in a no contest after a 20 wrestler run in. That soldier ant is one tough SOB, not only to survive, but to kick out at 2... amazing. Seriously though, they have to bring the grenade to the WWE and have Santino start using it. It would ensure that he'd never be taken seriously (just in case that isn't already ensured), but it would be awesome.

What gun angle was Hogan involved in? Spring Stampede 2000. I don't exactly remember what lead up to it but he ended up getting arrested at gunpoint on live PPV. After that, in the next match that was for the hardcore title, you could see when they're fighting backstage Hogan walking with the cops that arrested him in the segment prior like their buddies. When the camera gets on Hogan, he looks shocked and sprints the other way.

I just envision Hogan being gunned down by the cops, slowly rising up, shaking his head and given the cops the old finger point/"YOU!!!"
