I mean, I know they've used the Great American Bash in the past, but why don't they utilize some of the better known names instead of things like Over the Limit, TLC, Night of Champions and overusing the Hell in a Cell? They've got access to the Great American Bash, Halloween Havoc, Starrcade and even World War 3 could replace one of the gimmicky ppvs. Maybe instead of NoC do a Clash on free tv every three months with all titles on the line. It just seems like wasted PPV names to me especially with things like Over the Limit out there. (Then again, if they're booked like the Bash, maybe it's best to let em continue to rot.)

Because WCW still reeks of failure.

Look how terrible The Great American Bashes they held were, no need risking the curse of WCW.

On that whole WCW being a failure thing...it's been over a decade, kids wouldn't know the names, you're still paying for copyrights anyways so why not?

Honestly, the only name I could see them using again is Halloween Havoc. It sounds awesome and rolls nicely off the tongue. The other old names either scream of southern wrasslin' or have the WCW-fail stigmata associated with them, and that's not the image WWE wants to project.

I was never even a big WCW guy, but Haloween Havoc always seemed like a freaking awesome PPV title to me

Halloween themed PPV is the only one worth it.
That'd be so badass with WWE production.

Look how terrible The Great American Bashes they held were, no need risking the curse of WCW. Both 2004 and 2005 were bad (Though there was SOME decent matches in the 04 one), 2006 was better than the other two, 2007 was also decent, 2008 was probably the best one of them all and 2009 was renamed The Bash.

Because that would be admitting that somebody else somewhere did something in wrestling that got over that didn't involve Vince MacMahon.

I agree Halloween Havoc is the best one. I think "Uncensored" was an OK name too. I was never sure what "Starrcade" even meant.

On that whole WCW being a failure thing...it's been over a decade, kids wouldn't know the names, you're still paying for copyrights anyways so why not? As to the last one, I'm sure WWE owns the names since they bought the company and its intellectual property, unless WCW licensed a name from a third party a la Gangrel.
