So did anyone catch the premiere episodes of 1600 Penn last night? I thought it was ok. It felt a lot like Modern Family in the Oval Office though at times. It is pretty neat to see Bill Pullman playing the president again, and the premise has lots of potential for interesting plots.

I caught it for Jenna Elfman.
Not really impressed. The brother is stupid and annoying and I flipped back to office Space while they drug out a scene about how everyone's afraid of the President because he's gruff. I could see that coming a mile away so I don't think I missed anything in that scene. I'm curious as to how it did in the ratings though

The pilot episode was pretty bad, but I thought it rebounded in the second episode. It wasn't great by any means, but I at least see the possible potential for this show to be okay once the characters develop.
That being said, the character of Skip is gratingly annoying, and not in the charming, lovable oaf sort of way, and the fact that he's essentially the centerpiece of the first two episodes leads me to believe they're only going to turn his "Chris Farley Lite" character up to eleven.

Did Pullman reference the fact that he's in his 6th term as president after saving America from an alien invasion?
If so, I'm going to break into every nelson-box house i know and turn the channel to this show.

Yea in the ad that was up on Yahoo yesterday, his is the first face you see as he's setting up a camera and screwing up the shot I think. If anything kills this show, it will be his annoying character
