You won the AFC West, you beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs. Oh yeah, you were at the bottom with him. You obviously never watched the Broncos last year. That O was dead last and need the defense to save them. We were the 00 Ravens without Dilfer's passing ability. Our defense carried us to that AFC West title, not the guy that cannot get on the field for NYJ or a roster spot in Jax. Face facts: Elway was right. 00 Ravens would be offended by that statement because you weren't even close to what they did that year. Elway was not completely right or else..........you would have gotten further in the playoffs this year. Mostly right, probably. But not completely right.

I actually would prefer him to the guy who did the color for today's CBS game. That dude has dementia. Good news is that he won't call another game in the playoffs. Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will call all of the CBS games the rest of the way.

So heres my question
Does this count as a right guess since in my original picks I had San Fran winning? Or wrong because I went with Packers earlier?

3 touchdown lead! I wonder who's going to be new defensive coordinator for the Packers. Dick Lebeau has been hinting at leaving the Steelers for a while. I wouldn't mind him one bit.

@bfeldmancbs Colin Kaepernick has accounted for a mind-boggling 77% of 49ers' total yds (446 of 579). Not bad for a 1st playoff start.

What's the name of Green Bay's defensive coordinator? He should be fired after that attrocity out there.
However, I picked San Francisco to win that game so I thank him for that.

so the QB who led my sole fantasy football team to championship is going to eliminate my team --- guess that means I'm going have to hug it out with Kaepernick down the line

He beat a grand total of 1 team with a winning record, and granted, he did well, they were also on a downslide and had some major injuries going into the playoffs. Often times the running and kicking game carried them to victories against bad teams, games where Tebow got 100% of the credit. Fact is, he didn't do a "damn good job," he did just enough not to lose against bad teams during a particularly weak schedule that pulled a team to the playoffs in the weakest division in football (and being a Chief's fan, that hurts for me to say). He wasn't a good player, he just won against horrid teams. I agree with you on that. Although you could say almost the same about Manning this year because they beat alot of teams that were weak in a weak division. A weak schedule is always a poor excuse because it can't be helped. And bottom line is you can take all those stats and throw them out the window. The #1 thing anyone is going to care about is wins and if you do care about stats and not wins, then you are just trying to find some good. Was the old Al Davis saying "Just Get All The Best Stats, Baby"? I don't think that was it. You're right, people do care about wins. And Manning actually beat playoff-caliber teams in the regular season, where Tebow did not, something none of the apologists ever seem to want to acknowledge. The better player doesn't always win every game, but the better player will perform better in the long run. Over the course of a single season, the better player was Manning, and there is literally no logical argument that can be made to the contrary, despite how much the apologists wish there was.
