I'm going to assume 1992, 2001, 2004 and 2005 will be among the most popular in this discussion. They usually are, although I also tend to include 1994 and 2007 on my personal list.

I say 1992, purely for Heenan's commentary.

1990.
More star power than any other year, and very entertaining from top to bottom.

2001 - Austin, despite being jumped by Triple H before getting in the ring, made his victory look like a war. Not complete dominance like every year.

1992 from before the match even started "Best President since Noriega" until "YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES". The commentary was the best and the match itself was phenomenal.

I voted 1998 as my favourite, and even though it's more of a modern one, I want to give an honourable mention to the 2011 Royal Rumble with 40 guys. They had a few pretty good angles just in the Rumble itself, from Punk and Bryan being number 1 and 2, the New Nexus coming in, Husky Harris get eliminated, and then the other big man in the Royal Rumble, Mason Ryan, comes in. The returns of Booker T and Diesel getting big reactions and such.
My only problem with the Rumble was the number one contenders in the World Title matches got in, and I always hate that, unless they explain it, like Kurt Angle stealing Nunzio's number.
