There is no way they can just let McCoy waltz over to a division rival like that. Why the hell did they even let him interview with them? I get that Elway thinks Peyton runs the offense but for f***s sake McCoy knows this team, he knows what Peyton can and cannot do now, you cannot just let him walk to San Diego. I'd be okay with McCoy taking his super-conservative playcalling over to the Bolts. Good riddance. Amen, brother. I've wanted McCoy gone since he got here - and even if Fox is part of the problem, I feel that McCoy is one of the items holding this team back. I couldn't care less where he goes - the second he leaves we become better.

If you are wondering why the Broncos would just let him go to the Chargers if that happened, two words.............John Elway. I swear I think he is going to be one of those guys who thinks as long as he has his players, he can put anyone on the coaching staff and the same thing will happen.

Well, I don't know if I'm too concerned about McCoy going to the Chargers if he does in fact go. Dennis Allen was able to go to the Raiders and the damage was minimal for us, I can't see why it'd be any different for McCoy.

Eventually losing all your assistants is going to be a problem, unless your Bill Bellicheck and let's be honest, John Fox is no Bill Belicheck.

John Fox - "We Played the Percentages" Aside from Rahim Moore forgetting how defense works and Peyton Manning pulling a Peyton Manning in double-overtime, John Fox is one of the biggest goats in Saturday's loss. His hyper-conservative decision to fall on the ball at the end of the second and fourth quarters were telling calls. You have Peyton Manning throwing to quick, tall targets like Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker against a woefully undermanned secondary and you decide to let the clock run out? Even as it was happening, I was wondering aloud what the harm would be in dropping back and chucking it deep. Worst case scenario, it's intercepted around the 50 yard-line. However, how often do we see a receiver and a cornerback jostling for position on a deep ball that ultimately leads to a flag?

Meanwhile, every Carolina Panthers fan feels vindicated by John Fox's playcalling. I dont think you are going to win the Super Bowl (Elway's ultimate goal) with that type of mentality on your head coach.

I mentioned it earlier, so I'm calling for a full-on debate.
Peyton Manning or Brett Favre? The similarities are downright eerie- multiple MVP's, gaudy stats, 1 SB ring, another SB defeat, many a playoff screwup with ill-timed interceptions
That said, Manning is not as INT-heavy and Favre has more 3+ INT playoff games. Manning's worst playoff game- a 4 INT game. Favre had a 4 INT game and a 6 INT game in the playoffs.

Manning has always been a cerebral quarterback that makes calculated risks. I'm not as familiar with Favre's early career, but if he was ever that kind of player, he lost it before the end of his career. It always seemed like he wanted to chuck it down field whether it was a smart thing to do or not. Edit: I guess my point is I'm taking Manning ten times outta ten. Favre ended up being a stats-by-volume guy like Drew Bledsoe.

He was lucky enough that it worked out a lot more than it didn't. Manning's major problem is that he's just not dependable when there's no guarantee of tomorrow, but over the course of the season, I'd take Manning.

But Manning is still better right now than Favre.

Over the years, wasn't it pretty much established no matter who held the title of 'OC', that Manning was basically the offensive coordinator? Isn't it the same in Denver? If that's the case, you can't throw this on Fox

The only edge Brady had was a great defense. You can also say the same thing about 2007 Giants. Nobody on the Patriots side blamed their O-line for allowing Brady to get sacked five times and hit a bunch more in SB42, unlike Peyton, who threw his O-line under the bus after losing to the Steelers in the 2005 Divisionals, and Polian did the same thing after losing to the Saints in SB44, despite Peyton not getting sacked once. Going off-topic: Remember how Pete Carroll's attempt to ice Matt Bryant backfired on him? www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000125862/article/pete-carroll-officials-said-practice-kicks-wouldnt-be-allowed

The decision to go for it is the head coaches in most cases. The coordinator just decides how.

There is apparently no truth to the rumour that the Eagles have offered their head coaching position to Gus Bradley. There is an erroneous report that is citing the Sirius NFL Network, but there's nothing to it right now.

Russell Wilson did not clean out his locker today with his teammates...he was watching game film. That supposed worst pick in the draft is going to end up winning multiple Super Bowls, in my opinion. Kid's going to be special.

I expect the Denver offense to take a huge step back next season. Peyton is getting to the age where QBs start to tail off and let's face it, as goes Peyton so go the Broncos.
