Falcons are honestly the only team left I care anything for.

More Falcons hate. Enough is enough. That was more criticism at the fact that the media is giving Matt Ryan praise hand over fist despite the Falcons almost blowing their 20 point lead. He got his playoff win, and anything I read would have you believe that that win was entirely Matt Ryan and he's an elite QB. Just like with Tebow, people get tired of hearing an average QB getting praise for a team effort - and an almost failed one at that.

More Falcons hate. Enough is enough. My hate stems from the fact that I really wanted to see the Seahawks take the Lombardi this postseason, but then again, the Falcons win was about as unimpressive as it gets. In fact, the first thing I thought when Seattle scored that TD was the fact that they left too much time on the clock.

Kaepernick is on the national cover. Flacco appears on the regional (MD/DC/VA) cover.

I will say this, I didn't think that the whole "Ryan chokes in the playoffs" storyline was as big as it was. But now with the "Ryan finally made the leap" movement completely overshadowing the fact that they barely escaped with a win, it's easy to see. I hope Eli's Golden Anus-Horseshoe that Matt stole has a little more juice in it, because that's the only way they're making it to the Super Bowl. They've had that horseshoe all season.

If the way the Falcons' defense played on Sunday is any indication, that's the only playoff win Ryan's going to get. I'll give him credit for playing well when he had to even though he just about gave it away with that stupid, Week 17 Romo-esque interception. But the defense got exposed big time. I really wouldn't be surprised if Kap and Ko. steamroll them on offense. And the Niners' defense is too good to allow that to happen on the other side of things, though I think the Falcons will at least be competitive there. But the Niners are the most complete team left in the postseason and I expect them to make the playoffs.
As for the AFC, I think the Ravens will pull off the upset. They almost beat the Patriots last year if not for a series of stupidity in the final seconds of the game followed by Billy Cundiff missing as he is wont to do. And this time they actually have a reliable kicker.

Falcons will beat the 49ers. I actually think what happened this past weekend was the best thing that could happen to Atlanta.
First off, study the game film against Kaepernick. Pistol formation. Plenty of read option. Make sure the DEs stay committed to their assignments. Look at keeping one of your LBs as a spy. I think the Falcons are capable of putting together a better performance than the Packers defensively.
Plus, you just played a good young mobile quarterback in Russell Wilson who was on a tear. So they already had to adjust to this strategy. They should improve upon it this time around.
Also, I really like Atlanta's receivers. I expect if Matt Ryan doesn't turn it over, they can rack up yards on this secondary.
And lastly, do NOT underestimate the lousiness of David Akers. He can cost SF this game real easily.

I do take the suck of David Akers into account. But come on, it's in a dome. There's no way he Gary Anderson's the 49ers out of a Super Bowl appearance this Sunday.

On Kaepernick: Green Bay did the things you mentioned. You can't commit that many resources to him running and still defend the pass. He's not a great passer and decision maker, but he isn't Vince Young either. Also, Russell Wilson demolished them on defense after they had all season to prepare for him. I think we're past the point where you can make adjustments. On the Falcon's receiver matchups, they're gonna live and die by how well Julio Jones plays. Rogers is gonna be on White, and while he's not as good as Richard Sherman, he's played well this year. They've got great linebackers to take away Gonzalez (ya know, as much as that's possible). And the Falcon running game is gonna be asphyxiated, even with them realizing Turner isn't a feature back anymore. Kaepernick is going to be exposed, but this isn't the defense that is gonna do it. The Falcons just don't have the personnel.

With two wins, Flacco will have the same amount of playoffs wins than Manning.

The Chicago Bears will be coached by former 49ers Offensive Coordinator, Marc Trestman. They're talking about it on Mike & Mike.

The Chicago Bears will be coached by former 49ers Offensive Coordinator, Marc Trestman. They're talking about it on Mike & Mike. He's spent the last few years in the CFL as the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes. Before that, he was the offensive coordinator at North Carolina State. This is his previous NFL experience... *Vikings running backs coach (85-86) *Buccaneers quarterbacks coach (87) *Browns offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach (88-89) *Vikings quarterbacks coach (90-91) *49ers offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach (95-96) *Lions quarterbacks coach (97) *Cardinals offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach (98-00) *Raiders offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach (01-03) *Dolphins assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach (04) His biggest successes came in Cleveland with Bernie Kosar, at the 49ers with Steve Young and in Oakland when under him, Rich Gannon was the league MVP. In his five seasons as Alouettes head coach, he's won the East Division four times, and won two Grey Cups in 09 and 10. Have a feeling he's really going to work well with Cutler, Young raves about him.

He can probably do good things with Cutler. But that won't matter s*** if they don't address the O-Line issues. You could have Bill Walsh there in his prime, and it wouldn't matter.
