Paul Levesque deserves all of the credit in the world for making this happen. This more than makes up for his role in Montreal in my book. Bruno and Backlund in together! Wow!!! Yep. For him to convince Bruno of all people to do it, given all the bad blood, he really really deserves major kudos. For all the hate of hhh gets (which I think is mostly BS), like it or not, I truly believe he has a lot of respect and love for the business. I don't care what his connections are to the family or whatever, I truly believe he is very passionate about the business. For him to reach out and convince bruno given all the bad blood over the years with wwe//vince is really impressive to me. Definitely! After Bruno, I can't and won't say anything bad about HHH. Who is the best bet to give the speech? HHH would be a really good choice, but my wish list would have to include either: 1. Larry Zbysko 2. Vince

You know what, I would love it to be Stan Hansen or Ivan Koloff. One of his biggest rivals or the man who ended his 4000+ day title reign.

Stan Hansen would also be a good choice.
He would also be a good inductee.

Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, Mick Foley and Trish Stratus
WWE is making up for its crappy WrestleMania card with its best Hall of Fame class ever.

Have to say well done to WWE for finally getting their man and well done for Bruno for letting bygones be bygones.
And what a great line up this is looking like. Going to be amazing viewing this year.

What's the big deal about Sammartino accepting?
I vaguely know who he is, and that he's considered one of the all time greats, but has he had past issues with Vince or something?

What's the big deal about Sammartino accepting? I vaguely know who he is, and that he's considered one of the all time greats, but has he had past issues with Vince or something? He hated the direction the company was going so broke ties with the company about 25 years ago(?) and has said so. People have always said he was out of touch and maybe so but if you had been there as long as he was with the passion then you saw it go that way, I couldn't exactly blame him even if I did disagree. The fact of the matter is that Bruno Sammartino is the very reason WWE has the significance with Madison Square Garden, even New York City, that it has. By all accounts, he wasn't an amazing worker but his charisma was so large and so reaching and he sold out MSG so many times, it hasn't been matched by anyone. I am 24, almost 25 years old. I wasn't around during Bruno's era, I wasn't even around when Bruno RETIRED. The fact that this man has finally accepted the recognition he earned decades ago and it'll be in the arena he built and made into an iconic wrestling mainstay...it honestly gives me chills just think about it as a passionate wrestling fan. Heck, this class is perfect for three different reasons. Bruno made the Garden, Buckland solidified the Garden and Foley represented the people who watched those two and wanted to BE in the Garden.

I think I'm actually more shocked that ESPN had a story about it. This is awesome, awesome news. I was a kid during the Rock N Wrestling era but I knew that Bruno was the Living Legend. My Dad met him once and got his autograph for my brother a few years earlier. Bruno was the face of the WWE for the first 15-20 years. I had a feeling he might be coming back but it still took me by surprise. Awesome news. Having him return to MSG 50 years after he won the title there (well, at the old MSG anyway) is even more awesome. Good job, HHH! Welcome back, Bruno!

Been reading an article with comments from Bruno and HHH about him going into the Hall of Fame. One part that jumped out at me was Vince asking HHH if he should call Bruno, and Bruno asking HHH if he should call Vince. HHH said no to both of them, saying that they should do it face to face. He said that this would probably happen at the Hall of Fame.
So, what if that 'reunion' and 'burying of the hatchet' happened on stage, at the Hall of Fame, with Vince inducting Bruno.
There's two people I think should be inducted by Vince in the future. Undertaker, and Bruno. And I think this might happen, you know.

If I recall correctly, Vince has never inducted anyone and correct me if I'm wrong, has never been seen at a Hall of Fame. Vince inducted Austin. EDIT: And James Dudley, too, apparently.

Didn't Vince induct Austin?
Better question, what if their first meeting does happen at the HOF, & go's to hell right there in front of the crowd?

Vince inducted Stone Cold Steve Austin and James Dudley. EDIT: As has been said. In a perfect world, it would be great if Vince inducted Bruno. But baby steps at this point are just as nice. Just the two of them meeting would be great to try and move past some issues.

I would be surprised if we see Vince on camera at any time Bruno is out.
