Just Booker left, I guess. Hoping it's Stevie Ray. According to last night's Wrestling Observer radio, Stevie Ray will be inducting Booker T.

I feel like this class underachieved. First it's the smallest class in Hall of Fame history since 1993. Not only that, but it's got the smallest amount of wrestlers going in than any other class with just five since Trump takes up a spot. Then you have the lack of posthumous inductions. The list is only getting longer and yet they chose to go with none? With no rush to edit the show on Saturdays, clearly there was time to add a posthumous induction or two as in previous classes. With guys like Baron Scicluna and Bullet Bob Armstrong in the Hall of Fame, the list of potential posthumous inductions goes way beyond the number they've inducted in the past 14 classes. There have been 18 inductions with posthumous inductees. Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Lou Thesz, Ray "the Crippler" Stevens, Owen Hart, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, Paul Bearer, Bam Bam Bigelow, Haystacks Calhoun, Big Boss Man, Miss Elizabeth, Jack Tunney, The Fabulous Freebirds, Bruiser Brody, Giant Baba, Brian Pillman, John "Earthquake" Tenta, Lord Alfred Hayes, "Toots" Mondt, Gene Kiniski, Johnny Valentine, Dick The Bruiser, "The Crusher" Lisowski, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, "Dr Death" Steve Williams, Dick Murdoch, Adrian Adonis, Stan "the Man" Stasiak, Edouard Carpentier, Karl Gotch, Dr Jerry Graham, "Crazy" Luke Graham, Big Bill Miller, King Curtis Iaukea, Professor Toru Tanaka, Willie Gilzenberg, Dino Bravo, Pat O'Connor, "Playboy" Gary Hart, "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, Paul Boesch, Sam Muchnick, Gory Guerrero, Sky Low Low, Hans Schmidt, Luna Vachon, "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell, "Mr Wrestling" Tim Woods, Ray Morgan, Andy Kaufman Was there just nobody in that group worthy of joining this 2013 class? This seems absolutely lazy. Especially when this class has enough star power to carry a few midcard inductions with it. The headliners are going to eventually dry up. I give it ten years. Maybe twelve. It sounds like a long time but does that mean less than twelve of the guys I just listed will get in? WWE needs to be inducting around two posthumously a year. Not zero. I, for one, am glad it's smaller. I think it's better for those inducted to be gieen more time, rather than cramming everyone in behind one big name. Yeah, there are people I think should be inducted before they die (in fact, Bruno was a big one), but I prefer the more intimate class to the larger ones.

OK, anyone notice the weird trend? Yes, Foley is being inducted by Funk (and it will be gloriously full of Funk-isms), but we've got Steph inducting Trish, Vince inducting Trump, most likely Trips inducting Bruno. Long as Linda doesn't induct Booker, we'll be fine though.

I'm not saying pack it with 11 inductions like 2004, but they could have put one or two more in this class easily enough. Remember, they're not constrained by the USA network airing a one hour special that very night like in years past. They have more time to work with now. Plus how much time does Donald Trump need for his induction in comparison to the others? The smaller the class, the more the celebrity inductions stick out.

He was bumped by Trish Stratus. The headliner and the celebrity are always going to get the television segment. They had a choice between Foley, Backlund, Booker, and Trish for the final television spot and they decided Trish was the better pick for whatever reason.

Then the fans can proceed to cover the stage with trash.

Man, from some of the reactions online, you'd think Trish and Steph murdered Lita or something. Some people are f***ing pissed that Steph and not Lita is inducting Trish, and are blasting Trish and Steph.

Using my head, I would stake a guess that none of the wrestlers could care less if they're the "headliner" or opener or middle act or whatever; and are altogether just pleased with going in the Hall of Fame. As for the inductions being on TV; yes that might be a legitimate issue but as long as all the speeches are released as a extra on the Wrestlemania DVD like usual* I'm sure all that should be fine as well? Either way this is a great class, some huge names. I like that its smaller, should mean longer speeches and the inductions at Mania for each of them might actually be full entrances**? (* I'm amusing they still do this?) (** - Anyone think this could happen?)

I don't really put too much stock in celebrity inductions to begin with, but I really just don't agree. I think 4 or 5 wrestlers is fine for a class, and they shouldn't feel the need to try to push in a midcarder for the sake of adding another number to it.

If the Hall of Fame had started out as 4 or 5 wrestlers and was that elite, then fine. But that just isn't the case. It's also not a Hall of Fame completely determined by percentages of votes either. It's too late in the game to be changing the rules and actually they aren't changing the rules. Next year will have midcarders and posthumous inductees. They're just not consistent enough or haven't planned far enough ahead.

What rules? There aren't any rules to the Hall of Fame. It's who they feel works best on a year-to-year basis. Aside from the celebrities, if you had a notable role in the industry, you're eligible. They don't have to meet any previous number of inductees, they don't have a charter to abide by, there's literally nothing stopping them from not having one one year.

Obviously there's nothing stopping them from inducting one each year from now on. But would you advise that? What if it was two inductees and one celebrity each year from now on? Is that a balance you'd be happy with?

Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Lou Thesz, Ray "the Crippler" Stevens, Owen Hart, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, Paul Bearer, Bam Bam Bigelow, Haystacks Calhoun, Big Boss Man, Miss Elizabeth, Jack Tunney, The Fabulous Freebirds, Bruiser Brody, Giant Baba, Brian Pillman, John "Earthquake" Tenta, Lord Alfred Hayes, "Toots" Mondt, Gene Kiniski, Johnny Valentine, Dick The Bruiser, "The Crusher" Lisowski, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, "Dr Death" Steve Williams, Dick Murdoch, Adrian Adonis, Stan "the Man" Stasiak, Edouard Carpentier, Karl Gotch, Dr Jerry Graham, "Crazy" Luke Graham, Big Bill Miller, King Curtis Iaukea, Professor Toru Tanaka, Willie Gilzenberg, Dino Bravo, Pat O'Connor, "Playboy" Gary Hart, "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, Paul Boesch, Sam Muchnick, Gory Guerrero, Sky Low Low, Hans Schmidt, Luna Vachon, "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell, "Mr Wrestling" Tim Woods, Ray Morgan, Andy Kaufman The vast majority of this list have zero chance of every being in the WWE Hall of Fame. Most are practically unknown to the average wrestling fan today. Obviously the WWE has thrown old school fans a bone here and there, but that's just a few too many bones to hold your breath for. Some possible exceptions: -Savage is a lock to headline a future class. -I'm shocked how Lou Thesz hasn't been inducted yet. You've got to figure he'll get in there eventually. -Owen Hart would be great and really could go either way. -Rick Rude, The Bulldog, Big Boss Man, Paul Bearer and Earthquake are all safe bets for future inductees. -I was really, really hopeful for Bam Bam Bigelow this year. I'm still hopeful for him in the future, but it wouldn't shock me if it never happened. -Haystacks Calhoun would be awesome and I could see it happening. -Miss Elizabeth is similar to Owen Hart in that there seems to be a 50/50 shot. I would love if her and Savage headlined WM30's class. -The Fabulous Freebirds are a sure thing with two members still alive. -I'm sure both Bruiser Brody and Giant Baba are possible. -I'm on the fence with Brian Pillman but the fan in me can't help but be optimistic. -You figure Dick the Bruiser and The Crusher are shoe-ins if Mania is ever in the Minneapolis area. -Andy Kaufman has got to be a lock for a future celebrity inductee. -I'm so mad that when they inducted "Mad Dog" Vachon they didn't induct Butcher and Luna with him like they did with the Von Erichs. Now I think it's probably impossible for Luna to get in. A lot of those are long shots and I'd be seriously shocked if anyone of the others you listed ever got inducted. To be honest, I'm not even sure I'd induct some of those names. Bill Miller doesn't exactly scream Hall of Fame to me.
