This thread is mainly for the CZW fans but please feel free to weigh in if you'd like:
Masada has been undefeated for over a year now in CZW and has been World Champion for a majority of that time. Ending his reign will be a giant deal and should really launch that person but the question remains - who should it be?
Do you think it should be someone new to the main event scene? A brand new guy just coming in who they want to be a big star? Who do you think?
One of my favourites was always Sami Callihan and thought he'd be a great heavyweight champion for the company. However with his recent try outs and WWE maybe looking into him, it might not be a good idea to give him the title.

I haven't seen a CZW show since TOD 11, so I'm not sure how well guys on the current roster are doing. Based on what I saw from the last show I watched, I think Drake Younger deserves the belt (He and Danny Havoc easily gave the best performance in their second round bout at TOD 11). If the belt should go to a new champion, maybe Matt Tremont or Uhaa Nation, although I heard Tremont left CZW recently.

Drake did recently have a title shot at Cage of Death and althought I love Drake, I don't feel he needs another world title reign for the time being.
You bring up Tremont and that is a good point. He's certainly got the most momentum of anyone right now and coming off the year-long story with DJ, he'll need a new direction to go and a title win could be a big deal.

Maybe a Big Japan or wXw wrestler who wouldn't mind working in the US for a few months could be booked to fly over, beat Masada, and defend the CZW world title for a while. Abdullah Kobayashi would be a great choice (especially considering his TOD match with Masada) if it wasn't for the fact that he is BJW champ and must defend the belt in Japan.

Either it will be AR Fox, Daisuke Sekimoto, Ryuji Ito, or Abdullah Kobayashi.

I'm sure DJ would love for it to be AC or Sami but they both are booked pretty full (Cole being a champ in PWX, PWG, and ROH, Sami getting booked in Dragon Gate, PWG, and WXW). Drake is another guy whose getting more regular tours overseas and in PWG.
Matt Tremont is not ready. The very few times he's fought somebody that can be considered a top talent, he's looked overmatched.
I'll assume AR Fox is next in line unless COle or Sami's schedules open up a lot more. But it could be a new guy. Remember, Jon Moxley wasn't planned to be the world champ... he just caught fire. Drake also caught fire (though it took him nearly 2 years after debuting to get the title). Hell, Masada got the title because of Ego's injury (he was supposed to win the title back from Moore)

It couldn't be one of the main CZW guys (Cole, Younger, Callihan) considering Callihan and Cole are likely on their way out in the upcoming year or so and Younger living on the West Coast now. Tremont wouldn't be a bad choice, I'm a fan of Gulak as well.
