Wasn't there an article where it was said that they were pulling out all the stops for the show?
Mediocre at best.

It was fine for an average Raw, but as an anniversary show? Completely underwhelming.

I thought Raw was great. I really don't care about it being the 20th anniversary of the program, because the issue isn't putting on a great anniversary episode which effectively is a one-off nostalgia trip which is rushed and poorly produced, it's about building and maintaining a compelling show that makes me want to tune in each week. Furthermore, these shows should be building to a blow-off at the pay-per-view, making me want to order it. The past 2 Raws have done that.
Tonight's Raw>gimmick battle royales and legends dancing around backstage.

It was perfectly fine as a Raw, I totally agree there; but it was them that billed it as a big anniversary show, so naturally people are going to expect that.

I swear...if I'm getting Super Cena all the way to a WrestleMania win vs. The Rock...
I hate you so much, Cena. So, so much.

My fave parts about tonight:
1. Barrett's win 2. The epic intro compilation 3. Rock and Mick's brief encounter 4. Parts of the Rock Concert
Didnt like:
1. That Cena match. I don't care that he won. Its HOW. Its ALWAYS HOW. 2. No surprise appearances.

Now stay tuned for an all-new episode of I know WWE somewhat downplayed the 20th Anniversary thing, but I posted the Murder, She Wrote theme at the start of the thread. May as well go full-circle. I LOL'ed at that. I remember on my VHS recordings back in the day of that show just barely starting after Raw would end, never actually watched it so I never knew what it was about. And after watching that full intro video, I'm still not sure what it was about. People running?

My highlights:
- Kaitlyn winning the Diva's title - Cena vs Ziggler Cage match - SUPER DRAGON! - JBL referencing the Bay City Rollers - Cena referencing Braden Walker - Team Hell No/Dr Shelby/Rhodes Scholars segment - SUPER DRAGON! - Brodus Clay's little promo - Barrett beating Orton clean

If I remember correctly the intro would be some women in a bikini or lingerie getting killed then the detectives would be trying to figure out the killer.

Exactly, they had things stating that they contacted many former WWE Superstars to be a part of tonight snd i was excited and then i read an article stating that they changed everything for the show and that everyone they contacted wasn't need for tonight which shows they had something big going but for some reason went against it and instead we got what we saw tonight.

After going off air punk picked up a mic and called the rock to the ring. Punk ate a rock bottom and then roberts announced "ladies and gentlemen, big round of applause for ur wwe champion cm punk!" Over a beaten up punk.
