It wouldn't surprise me, but I'd hate to see Eve go right now. She's really been stepping it up in the ring since about 2010, and her heel turn gave her the personality she was lacking. I wonder how WWE feels about so many of the Divas they've been pushing leaving the company. If true, I echo this thoughts as well, and just when Eve was starting to realize her full-potential as a performer. I always thought Eve had a lot of upside but she was pushed too soon early in her career when they really hadn't of given her any character at that point or enough time to develop in the ring. Those first two uneventful diva title runs really left a bad taste in a lot of fans' mouths and she was slowly redeeming herself for the past year or two. I wasn't a fan, but I could appreciate her ability as a performer. WWE may use the fact of divas leaving as an excuse to continue to say "SEE?! Anytime we give a woman any kind of push, she'll get an ego and leave us high and dry! We'll make sure that's not happening again." when it wasn't the case at all. She got a bright future either way. Like I said before, she'd be a great TV host/Presenter based on the stuff she did with E!

Damn it She improved in the ring and one of the hottest divas they've had over the last few years. I'll miss her if she leaves.

Depressing fact of the day: In January 2011 there were 15 divas on the main roster, if Eve leaves they'll only be 8 divas left. Ten, really, and just more than half of them would be full-time wrestlers: Alicia, Layla, Aksana, Kaitlyn, Natalya and - when she can get on TV - Tamina. Rosa's been a valet for more than a minute, AJ seems to have moved into the valet category, and Cameron and (for reasons only God knows) Naomi are backup dancers for the time being. A pretty piss-poor management of their roster, if you ask me. At this rate, count me in on the "big reset button" option; dissolve the division and bring it back at a later date with new blood and actual effort behind it. I'd just have them start pushing the Divas a bit more subtly after WM. Let Kaitlyn be the face of the Division. Book Brodus Clay & The Funkadactyls in mixed tag matches. Maybe book more than one Divas match per show to kill time, such as in those rare SmackDown episodes where the RAW crew is overseas and SmackDown has very little to do.

As soon as she announced her engagement I thought it was inevitable she'd be off soon. If she really is leaving:
I always thought Eve had a tonne of potential, but it only really came to fruition now and again. Sometimes that was on her, sometimes it was on creative. With decent booking she could have been a really good face of the division, but she got her first title reign when she wasn't really ready and had been booked very weakly (and continued to get booked weakly thereafter). "Hey look, she's dancing with R-Truth!!" Who cares? She got one of those awful WWE pushes where there's no substance or reason for fans to invest in her, and naturally they didn't. One of the few shining moments in her first few years was her ripping Miz a new one; she performed well, fans liked it...it had zero follow-up. Classic.
She didn't really get anything to really sink her teeth into character or storyline wise until last year with Ryder/Kane/Cena which I thought was just awful. Awfully written and awfully performed. As soon as her heel turn came she improved on the whole, but again some of her segments with Johnny Ace rank among the worst performed I've seen in WWE. It seemed like everything was there (she had a great segment with Punk) it just all needed to slot together.
These past few months I thought it did that.
She's really got her heel character down to a tee, and she's good to go in the ring these days. I'd say she's one of the best women to come from the DS wrestling wise (not saying much I know) and she was never awful in the ring; I think she benefitted from time in development that lots of the girls didn't get. She started off very basic (good to do as a beginner) before incorporating more difficult stuff later...a lesson for all the new women. Even when she was rushed to champ she had a good match with Alicia, and her matches with Beth in 2011 I thought were better than those Beth had with Kelly, which were more widely praised.
I'll be sad to see her go (especially now she's hit her stride) but I'm sure she'll be going on to another happy chapter. I wish her well.

Mike Johnson was the one who reported it, I find him to be pretty credible, probably more so in recent times than Dave Meltzer. Knowing him, he probably researched this thoroughly before putting it out there.
So this'll be Eve's final night for sure.

I think she's a good character wrestler, and she was really only developing into something better over the last year. I'm surprised if she does leave, she seemed on par with Miz as one of those 'for the company, always' people, considering the amount of press she's been involved in.
Shame, all around, really. Hopefully just idle speculations.

To comment again, all the divas are smart to leave WWE. WWE doesn't care about them and treats them like crap for the most part. Michelle McCool, someone who is as politically connected as anyone can be with that company, complained about she and the other girls were treated. Sometimes I'm harsh on them, but for the most part, many of the girls aren't talented. And a lot of the time, it's not their fault. Poor Kaitlyn was thrown out on television with zero experience and they had her do a match, and it seemed that it was simply to embarrass them.

Well, as soon as she announced her engagement, I was expecting she'd leave the company soon-ish. I'll definitely miss her, because she consistently worked on her skills. She developed into a good in-ring performer, is good on the mic and has charisma.
It's understandable that she wants to concentrate on her wedding now and to, probably, start a family. Maybe she'll come back some time down the road. I definitely wish her all the best.

Women in wrestling aren't treated good across the board. TNA pays them much less and with the same treatment with only difference is that they wrestle slightly longer matches. Work the indies means you got to hustle hard. Any woman who get into wrestling already should know what to expect.

I will be sad to see her go she has improved a lot, maybe this leads to one of the NXT divas getting called up because right now the division is pretty anemic, honestly only Layla and Kaitlyn have been the ones really wrestling lately. AJ is slowly getting there but is doing her own thing with Ziggy, Natalya is with Khali, Rosa just stands there when she doesn't botch it, Aksana is beyond green in the ring, Naomi and Cameron just dance. So there you have it really two regular wrestling divas and lets not forget sometimes the random Tamina and Alicia pushes that go nowhere

I would put all my eggs in the AJ vs. Kaitlyn basket for Mania, not focus on the rest of the division, and then after Mania, bring Paige and one or two others Divas up from NXT, then hire the next lot.

Would be amazing if Kaitlyn vs. AJ happens at WM and Paige debuts the night after and jumps either Kaitlyn or AJ, and she reveals herself as the female member of The Shield.

I totally would've waited until after WM to leave with a nice paycheck.
Either way, does this mean we can get Paige sooner?
