Would've been summer of '97. I remember the Hart Foundation in the ring, cutting a promo (against Austin? Maybe HBK), and then Bret doing his Figure Four around the ring post (forget who he did it to though).

The "<insert name>" Kid vs. Razor Ramon. I haven't seen that happen since the Mulkeys beat the Gladiators.

I'm not sure if this was the same segment, but I remember being really upset when Bret (who had been one of my favorites) attacked Shawn and gave him the Figure Four around the post.

In the lead-up to WrestleMania 14, Undertaker made his return to Raw to confront Kane. It resulted in one of 'Taker's best promos ever: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2j6HalDkm8Having not known anything about wrestling at the time, but absolutely obsessed with horror-themed books (for example: the Goosebumps series), the idea of a wrestler like the Undertaker was awesome to me. Heard 'Taker's bells start ringing, and he cuts this promo... and I'm automatically an Undertaker fan for life (aside from the four years where he had to lose all the awesome stuff by becoming Bikertaker).

11/2/98. AKA the episode where Kane went around tearing shit up that night.

I still remember the first one. That was big deal. Bobby Heenan couldn't even get in.

Some of the replies make me feel old because I'm old enough to remember the Bobby Heenan Show in the last half hour of Prime Time Wrestling on Monday nights.

For me it'd have to be something around '93.. maybe Razor Ramon's debut? I recall Heenan making the Razor's Edge look like an amazing finisher by the way he was all " I've never seen anything like that!"

We got Raw here in Canada in 1995. I'm trying to remember. Probably the most dramatic memory was Shawn Michaels collapsing on Raw. There were other Raws I watched before then, but that was pretty dramatic and I bought into that injury.

It was right before Wrestlemania 19 and the Rock was chastising Austin as he was being thrown out of the building.

Hulk Hogan body slamming Yokozuna in front of 300,000 fans on the first Monday Night Raw. The impact of that slam caused Yokozuna's death 5 years later.

That might've been it. Odds are it was either him or Austin. I remember Bret being in a wheelchair as well at the time, though that could've been later. It's pretty fuzzy to me. I do remember them showing footage of HHH/Mankind at (I believe) Canadian Stampede as well.

Yeah, Bobby Heenan's pathetic attempts to get in the building + Kamala running wild in the streets of NYC. Obviously I've watched way too many of these.

I remember the first episode i watched in 1997 kept cutting back to a long interview with Jeff Jarrett when he returned in Dec of that year, it made me like Nitro more, because i felt Nitro had more wrestling whilst Raw is War had more interviews, i didn't really get hooked onto Raw until after Austin won the Royal Rumble. I had always watched the Home Video releases up until i got cable that year, so i knew the talent pretty well on both shows, but Raw was too much talk for me when in first watched it.

Not getting it and hearing about it on Superstars. Then when we finally got it, it came on at 1am. So I'd have to sneak from my room on the third floor down to the basement to watch it. Which kick started my sleep issues. Thanks RAW. you gave me insomnia.
